Post subject: | Who's who? |
Just thought I'd start a thread for people to say a little about themselves if they would like to. It would be interesting to find out a little bit more about the people you chat to regularly on the forum I think. My name is Graham, I'm 49 and married with 4 children (all boys, god help my wife!) aged 15,13, 9 and 3. I live in Torquay, Devon where I have been for the past 6 years. Prior to that I lived in Stafford for 7 years (and worked in Birmingham). Cambridge for 7 years before that (lived in Newmarket for a couple of years whilst there - brilliant!), and Chester before that (I'm originally from Liverpool, but moved away when I was only 8 and lived in Cheshire for mostly of my childhood/early adult life). I'm a psychiatric Nurse and have specialised in working in addictions since I qualified in 1990. I love most sports including football (I still play 5-a-side) and have followed Coventry City FC since I was 7 years old (despite living in Liverpool and having an Evertonian father and a Liverpudlian mother!), and cricket mostly. I'm a bit of a computer geek and a keen amateur astronomer to boot as well! My love of horse racing began at a very early age, my dad used to put a few pennies on for me when he went to the bookies. One of the first winners I remember having was Fair Salinia in the 1978 Oaks (yes, yes, I've already said I was old!!). I'm certainly not as knowledegable as many of you on here when it comes to horse racing, but I enjoy the chat and banter, and manage to pick up a few tips here and there too! As for SO5, totally addicted to the game, and my favourite way of playing is slow...r e a l l y...s l o w !! It takes me about 3-4 months in real time to complete a season as I watch about 50% of all the races! I'll never make it to the league! Anyway, that's me - anyone else care to tell us a bit about themselves...................? |
