I know this is off topic but Rik Mayal passing is so sad fantastic comedian from who I went through the 80's and beyond with his T.V shows The Young Ones, Bottom and his Prince Flasheart in Black Adder a true funny man you can never say anything he did wasn't funny R.I.P Rik.

Very sad. He was one of our comedy greats. I heard the news pretty late in the day and they quoted Ade Edmondson which despite it all made me laugh:

“There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing. They were some of the most carefree stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him. And now he’s died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard!”

young ones was ahead of my time

but i grew up watchin Bottom :lol: that was gas Rik Mayal was a real nut. facial expressions!
