Post subject:  Editor Doesn't Work on Windows 8

So I began using the editor in Windows 8 (my game is fully updated if that makes a difference) however, as soon as I try for the initial save, it says that "editor.exe has stopped working." This also happens sometimes when I try to apply an overlay or select a texture. It seems to be whenever I access files. I have given myself full admin priveleges and even went into the properties menu and made sure my account had full control over editing and saving in the select folder. Is there anything that can be done to get the editor to work?

Are you giving the editor full administrative rights? If not, right click on the exe, select properties, then inside the compatibility tab make sure you tick the check box so that you run the program as an administrator.

I did all that and while I am able to save and load the courses fine, I am unable to change the terrain (using the green + button). Every time it opens the file explorer, I get the same error message and the program closes.

I've gotten a new laptop (still Windows 8) since this post and I still have problems with the editor. I made sure to give the program and all associated folders admin access/privilege. The problem comes when I open a folder from the editor a second time. For example, I can place a overlay fine, but when I go to save I crash. Or I can open a course but when I go to add a new texture to the palette it crashes. It's a folder problem. Any way to fix?
