Post How to email in problem save game files.
If you have experienced a crash and the game can still be loaded and then the crash repeated you can help out by emailing in the problem game files. Please do not email in save files that crash during loading as these are of no use.

Unfortunatly just posting that the 'game crashes' is often not much use as it may not crash at the same point under other settings or even on other machines.

To locate your saves open exporer and click on DOCUMENTS on the left. Then double click on STARTERSORDERS7. Save files are in the SAVES folder.

Zip up the following files and email to support@startersorders.com. The main save file (*.sav) plus four other small files in the same folder. The number in the file name refers to the save game slot. As an example if the save is slot 4 then the files will be as follows:

4.sav
ext4.dat
ln4.idx
ns4.dat
o4.idx
4.sax

4.bak is NOT required

Please do not report errors if you have modified the data (other than the schedule files) as the errors are often due to the data mod rather than an actual bug.

Also please describe exactly what needs to be clicked to create the crash and at what point in the game and also confirm what version you are currently using (version number is bottom left of the main game menu).

It is very important to report crashes either by posting here or emailing in to support@startersorders.com. Simply reporting that the game crashed however is of no use. Problems can only be fixed when they can be replicated here (on a development machine), either by reproducing the crash via a number of steps or (more likely) using a saved game to replicate the crash. It is no use emailing in saved game that does not load as those files are corrupt.

If you get a crash use the 'revert to backup' button to load the backup. Then immediately save the game and next load the game and try to replicate the steps making note of what steps are required to get the game to crash. Then email in the saves (described above) along with a description of the steps to get the game to crash.
