If you want to put a US jumps schedule together is should work now. There may well be issues in which case let me know. After looking at the AUS schedule I decided there is no point in doing it myself as I know little about the AUS or US jumps. There was very little information around on the Aus courses so user efforts will have to be relied on. At some point I need to update the UK schedules but there is a lot of other stuff to look at. So the good news is this should be working. As I said if not let me know. Due to the copyright situation with anything USA I doubt I will be putting anything in the official download unless it can't be identified with any real course. This is one of the reason all the names and locations are out of whack (in the USA game). The quickest approach to test is to put a single jumps course together, copy the flat schedule and alter the header and file name so it's combined (as I did for the test AUS schedule in the recent patch). The new jumps course should then be used in the game. |

US timber racing would be crazy to get permissions. Some are part of big complexes for other horse sports and they would "go corporate" which is what you saw with the flat tracks. You'd almost have to go to a social event to ask the co-investors/owners. For instance, the new international level facilities one in Tryon NC which has steeple chase facilities was mostly funded by the money behind Trump (that Trump): a US hedge fund guy who's daughter rides who also bankrolled Trump. And a bunch of Russians who are being investigated for potentially bankrolling Trump, ha. At least you could talk to them, probably, if you wanted. Some of the other timber (fixed fence steeple chases) are still private property races. Some would probably be fine with a fan game using the info, but getting the contact info for the people to ask would be very difficult. Some of the owners there work in fields where, let's say, privacy is important. It is a small circle, and I haven't lived there in decades. |
