Sorry, keep meaning to update on my progress every couple of days, but my time is often limited during the week. My original plan was to make a schedule based exactly on the 2010 real-life schedule (if I had kept with this plan it would have been ready last weekend!), but obviously, in terms of feature events, the greyhound season is a lot more changeable from year to year than the horse racing season, so in order to not lose some of the major events that have been temporarily dropped or reduced in value this year (but which are expected to return next year), I decided to make a schedule that is kind of a "best of" 2009 and 2010. It's pretty much ready, but after testing I've moved a couple of things round a bit to improve the field quality of certain races, and am just re-testing it.

Thanks for the update panther. hope the re-test is going well.
Do you want me to send you my trainers and stables files to test along with it. Then if people want they can just download them together?

The trainers and stables files shouldn't affect the showcases file, so if they work fine in your own game they should work fine with any showcases file. So, if you send Mark your files, he should hopefully be able to make them all available together once I've sent him my showcases file.

Sorry, I know this is now way beyond the date I originally said it would be ready (I probably shouldn't have given a date, as I didn't realise how long it would take with all the necessary tweaks etc!). And yes, it is pretty much finished, but I have just had no spare time at all in the last few days to finish it off, as other things have come up. I'm working on it again tonight though.

It's finished! Just quickly running it through as many seasons as possible to ensure it continues to work after a number of seasons. I'm e-mailing it to Mark tomorrow, so that he can do his own tests on it and make it available as a patch. So, it should hopefully be available tomorrow or Thursday.

After my final multi-season tests I decided to remove all the short events (as in, the events where it just goes straight from heats to finals - none of which were major events), as I just don't think the fields they attract are strong enough (there also seems to be a problem with entering dogs in one-off events, so I've not included the Select Stakes, which wasn't attracting strong fields anyway) and they possibly reduce the quality of some of the other major events. I've also removed some of the other lower-value events for the same reason. Again, just running through a few seasons with the revised schedule before sending it to Mark. Once I make it available, if there are any races that anyone thinks should definitely be in there which aren't, they can obviously be added afterwards.
