Hey Thomas,

I just downloaded and started your Australian schedule. Very cool so far thanks. I know nothing about Australian racing but have you run a few seasons? Do the big races fill out well with the right horses? I like to play out the seasons slowly so i won't be there for a while just curious.

Thanks

yes the group races fill out well, mk, you are going to love it, I am on my 24th season at the moment, the schedule is a testing schedule, it will keep you on your nerves mate, it's because it's well prepped, the best thing to do is jump to 7 seasons at the start and the pick all of the flat legend horses jump them to a few years so they don't come into the game at the start, then tell me what you think MK.

Is there any web sites that tells u about race courses in Oz, I would like to find out about the race courses and to see if there are many dirt courses so I could add a few to my game. I've added Alice Springs and Darwin but would like to add one or two more. I was watching Oz racing this morning and Broome came on, it looks a gorgeous course next to the sea.

I do it because you get a better start at the beginning, better horses to breed with, better 2yo at the first end of season auction sometimes you can buy good 2yo in the weekly auction, you will find if there was a league this schedule would be a great schedule to prepare horses for it mk.

Your most welcome ghost, I think Alice Springs theses day is called Pioneer Park Racecourse, but what a carnival when they hold the meeting, people go there from all over Australia for the Alice springs Cup, we in Australia do have great horse racing, hopefully one day you Americans will come up with a good stayer to come to our spring carnival to race in the Melbourne Cup ghost, that would be interesting to watch I must say.

Alice Springs is my fav track in Australia, I was up real early on one of our bank holidays( last year) and I put on the racing and it was Alice Springs Cup Day and I instantly fell in love and i had to put the course into my game and i also put in Darwin( Fannie Bay) the other Northern Territories track. In my game I've got 21 US tracks and the 2 Oz track's and I've prepped the Oz races with the breeders cup so the best one's come over, usually about 20 odd horses come over for the breeders cup races.

I was watching the racing this morning and Broome race track come on and it looked real picturesque next to the ocean and I had to look it up and I think I need to put it in my game. I'm going to have to go and have a mess around with the editor ( it's been 9 months since I last played around with it).

God I love reading your posts ghost, your an OK guy, it seems like you like the outdoors, boy if you came to Australia and went to Alice Springs or broom, you need to get yourself some fly propellant mate, the flys are bad in that part of Australia, but you would love it, I myself live on the border of Victoria and New South Wales, wee bit cold at this time of the year, but the northern territory where Alice Springs and you could say western Australia where Broom is, it worm weather over there, never been myself to that part of Australia I have to say, maybe one day if God allows me some more life on earth I might take a trip to that part of Australia, should come over one day ghost you'll love it mate.

Post Re: The Australian & New Zealand Courses & Schedules
Hi Tomas.
I'm pretty new to this forum and recently purchased Jockey Rush.
Almost immediately I added the 'Woodbine' racecourse to the Australian Schedule, as my friend lives in Canada, and using the code from that course's file was able to get it working perfectly.
Since then I have found 'Simple Minds' Australian extra courses mod and downloaded that to add to my schedule as well, but I have a problem.
All of Simple's courses in Jockey Rush have the horses racing 3 to 4 horse widths away from the inside running rail for the entire course.
This looks way too unrealistic and I'm wondering if you have noticed this in Starters Orders 6?
I see you also have a listing of similar course files Tomas so I'll download your files and see if using those makes any difference.

Also your friend 'Ghost' mentioned the Fannie Bay and Alice Springs courses in one of his posts.
Do you know if he has those available for download anywhere?

No the horses on my courses don't race 3 & 4 horses of the rails Wingding, but I cannot comment on grays courses mate, after all he would have done that for a good reason, as gray & mj are course making professors when it comes to making courses, I'll let them comment on their own work.

the other question about the alice springs course I tried to put the course in, but I left it out for a good reason at the time as it just over loaded the Australian schedule in my opinion made it unbalanced, the game was freezing somewhat and so I left it out, I really don't know if ghost has an alice springs course made, I don't know of a download for that course, but ghost is a great lad ask him or her and I am sure if they got it they will help you in anyway they can as they are like that in here.
and thanks for downloading the courses & schedule, hope you enjoy them Wingding.

Post Re: The Australian & New Zealand Courses & Schedules
Thanks for the reply Tomas.
I can confirm that almost all your courses work perfectly in Jockey Rush.
The only one's I had issues with were Cranbourne, Geelong and the Gold Coast for Australia and Trentham in New Zealand.
The rest worked great.

The problems I'm seeing could just be something to do with the Jockey Rush program itself?
I'll endeavor to see if Mark can give me a reason as to why this may be happening.

I also asked Mark if he would consider releasing the racecourse editor for Jockey Rush and he said that he might put it in that programs first patch.
There is a folder in Jockey Rush's 3D folder already labelled 'editor' with some files in it but no editor.exe was included.
I dearly wish to try the editor out and make my home outback racecourse but can't afford to buy the SO6 program just for the editor itself.
Other than the modding I probably wouldn't use it.

Anyway thanks again.
