Interesting to read the facts about the Craven as well as I am sure there are plenty of old traditionalists like me who still think of the Craven and the Greenham as the main 2000 guineas trials.
One of the Timeform guys came up with a good point last year about how attitudes had changed and trainers were far happier going straight to the guineas without a run these days than they were in the past and were almost treating the Guineas as effectively 'the final race of the 2yo campaign' before the horses split off into sprinting, mileing or middle distance racing.
