|   Re: Weekly Reaction2 winners this week. Some placings and my new uploads showed real promise. Man Cave is a model of consistency at the right level. I thought Princess Rules was in a good spot but was not expecting her to dominate wire to wire like she did.
Special congrats to Trainer Alex Cherrie on winning race 5 with a 9 year old. Have we had a 9yo or older horse win on the flat before?

   |   Re: Weekly Reaction5 Winners today
South Carolina
South Carolina became a multiple g1 winner when she made all
to defend her unbeaten record in the Belmont Stakes she has Iron
running through her veins adore her Irish Oaks next

Ice Cold Fusion
Tough call which race to go for but when I saw the big boys took
their 3YO's to the Commonwealth Cup I thought the Diamond Jubilee was
the best option for Ice with the weight for age allowance. It was
not looking a good decision last coming to the final few furlongs but
scooted up smartly July Cup maybe next.

King Kobra
KK Made it 2 from 2 and won the Queens Vase incredibly impressively
probably my best winner of Royal Ascot seemed to win with plenty in
hand. Has to step up in class now and take on the older generation most
likely in the Goodwood Cup.

Zeena
My grand nation number 2 got off the mark already looked out of the national
picture with a rating in the 140s going into this at least i can have a bit of fun
with her she is now rated 150 so she could well be the toppy in the national.

The Scene
Been banging on the door some decent runs and did well to break his maiden
tag with the newcomers in there not sure he is good enough to win another race
though.

Congratulations to John on being leading trainer at Royal Ascot was a great battle
Congratulations to the winners and placers

Have to say a huge thanks to Martin and Doug the Royal Ascot shows were an absolute
scream we had great fun watching them in the live stream i Know they took hours to
put together but speaking on behalf of everyone they bought a whole new dimension to
the whole experience the fashion bits were partially enjoyable.

Big up to the boss man Gray for putting together 3 great days of great viewing thanks for
your continued hard work. & to Leon for making Tom so user friendly.

Great comms as always and thanks to the rest of the team who make this so enjoyable
for us all see you all next week.

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionPicked up another NH win with Ashton winning a good handicap at Cheltenham. This is his 3rd season after 2 winless seasons on the flat so that was really good to see.
Still no win on the flat this season which is slighly disappointing.

Another fantastic week for the league. Doug and Martyn, you both were fantastic and thank you for spending your time doing these previews. Absolutely loved them.

Well done to all winners and placers and thanks to all involved in running the league.

Thanks
James

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionGood final day for me with 4 winners. War Marshal was my only winner over the fences, has been making steady progress in the last two weeks and pleasing to see him win a qualifier. Pumpkin won my biggest race of the day, a G2, taking advantage of the absence of Twin Turbo though I did think she was in trouble after getting boxed and having to barge her way through. Spin spin sugar won a maiden, stayed on well up the hill. And Chocolate Browine after her switch from the jumps team looked comfortable for her maiden and will now go looking for group class.
Many thanks to all those behind the scenes.

Josh

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionBad week for me, couple of placings, but nothing more. Only positive was Indy Go Girl who ran a good race in the bumper.
I think my expectations rose a bit because of the good start, but I have probably found my level now. Still happy to be in.

Big thanks to everyone who do an amazing job in letting this happen.

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionSome pleasing performances at Royal Ascot, 2 winners and a number of places;
Henao won his 2nd handicap of the season in the Hunt Cup, this looks his level l, doesnt cut the mustard at group level. Hopefully he can go well in the Cambridgeshire in a few weeks time, 1m 1f is his optimum trip.

Gorse Covert suprises me again in winning the chesham in quite taking fashion, looks like he loves 7f, so hopefully he can get my first G1 of the season in either the National or Dewhurst.

Sagan ran a blinder in the hardwicke coming 2nd, had a rough trip on the rail, perfect trip is 1m 5f so she is always staying on but never getting there in these 1m 4f races. A strong pace in the Arc could see her getting placed there.

Thanks to all the team involved in the league, the amount of work you put into this sacrificing your spare time is unbelievable

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionJust a so-so week for me, no winners but several 4th's and 5th's and one fast finishing 2nd at Ascot. The good news is that a lot of them are now on competetive marks for the low grade handicaps. I am still awaiting that elusive first jumps win.Great to see more new trainers and getting involved in the live streams. They were great this week but I was getting a few "looks" as they were pretty long.
Congratulations to all winners and to everyone who makes it happen.

Finally the burning question of the week is:
Would Doug dare tell his other half that they were carrying a bit of condition!!!!

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionAnother poor week from Spain Although the new intake were mainly getting ratings and distances were not ideal, they were a little disappointing, but some good runs in maidens from newbies Panhellinic & Pavonis on the flat. Also some nice new hunt horses a 2nd Canopa Pronounced Can-o-pa (hoof in Spanish) would of won but jockey thought it had and eased up and got caught, a 3rd and a couple of 5ths, although spent all my time on the flat between week 5-6 so pleasantly surprised with the hunt. John, still cant crack those flat horses, still must be doing something wrong. (full potential, top speed & 2/3rds extra speed and once uploaded turn into burro's )

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionGreat week of good racing and fun chats with Doug and some good banter in the live streams.
Finally had time to reflect on my personal results and am delighted with the flat team. Come Taste The Band doing the unthinkable and winning me a Royal Ascot handicap was obviously the highlight, big shout out to Sirius for not handicapping him out of it, but plenty of the others ran creditably as well with quite a few in the money. Of the newcomers Yvonne Elliman and Laughing Wolf both made the frame and look like they could give me a win. Just got to avoid the temptation to fly too high.

As for the jumps, well a couple made the frame but they are still a hugely disappointing bunch although a couple of the newcomers showed a bit of promise in not totally suitable races. Looks like a rethink is on the cards and starting a specific jumps game rather than using flat cast offs may be the plan over the next few months.

No review show this week as Doug and myself have been on the phone for the best part of six hours already this week and I am all edited out !!!

Congrats with the Ascot win, Martin. Well deserved after all that work. You and Doug do a great job. Lots of fun, especially the fashion show.

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionJuventus second and Indy Go Girl fifth was a meager return for me yesterday. Happy that Juventus is competitive in his low handicap. Indy Go Girl did well against the big boys. I take it as a small victory to best among the rest, it shows that the horse has potential and I am looking forward to try her over a 2m hurdle race.

   |   Re: Weekly ReactionThree wins on the day from cafe au lait, kingdom of hate and departure point, who were all very impressive. Bunch of seconds also from twisted transistor, second reflection and pumpkin.
Good battle brewing between James and I for the DCC this cycle.
