Re: Weekly Reaction
Great first day on the flat with 3 winners.
One winner over fences.
It was on the flat where I was expecting to make the most progress as I thought my flat team was much better than last season but I think my NH horses will struggle, I was unable to get any improvement out of them in the trials.
Great to see some new names in the winners encloseure. Well done to all the winners.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Looks like my Nh team is way stronger than last season. I changed my main trial course to Kempton due to the success I have been having with 3 milers and looks like it has made a massive difference. Can't say I have bred much better as I had quite a few of these last season but didn't use them

Re: Weekly Reaction
1 win on the Flat with 5f Hit The Heights one of my Favourite horses from the Geoff Lewis stables in the 80's won it as I believe the best sprinters went to Dubai.

Re: Weekly Reaction
No wins on day 1 but everything went as I was hoping for. Very competitive in these monster maidens as we know first week maidens are virtually G1s. 5 out of 7 in the Top 4 with a 2nd, 2x 3rd and 2x 4th place, my 5f 2yo seems to be a victim of the big field and the 9th of my 2m4f horse should be a bad day but we will see.
NH team performed even better with 1 faller and 9 out of 10 in the Top 4! 2 times unlucky on the line with 3x 2nd, 2x 3rd and 4x 4th place. Seems there is much group ability this season, looking forward to day 2 & 3 and the next weeks!
Congrats to all winners and placers and thanks to the team!!

Re: Weekly Reaction
Howdy Well i'm very happy with my flat team so far. 6 starters, placings of 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th. All but 1 was right at there at the finish and i think that horse still has a lot of potential, it was just having a bad day. I have tried to present front runners and i might have done too good a job as many of them ending up making the pace. It is promising that my best horses are yet to run. Thanks to the team and especially those that came to the rescue when i had dramas uploading my races. Cheers Jango

Re: Weekly Reaction
Two second places and some placings. Better than usual in the first week. Some of my horses looked promising. Great to have the league back. Well done, all participants.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Lads i thought grand national horses had to be 7 year olds this season so does this mean the 6 year olds who ran in the 4 mile chase this week wont be allowed into the national because it breaches the new rule.
Gray you and Josh had 6 year olds running in the race i just wanted this cleared up to save any hassle later on i just automatically though any 4 mile + races would be set to 7YO+

Re: Weekly Reaction
A first ever flat maiden win for me with Harry Bum winning the 1m7 race. Sure, it wasn't the best field ever assembled but this was a huge shock and I'm absolutely delighted! Probably won't win again now though

Re: Weekly Reaction
No winners today on the flat but all but one horse was in the money. The big disapointment was Red River in the Dubai Sheema who finished a lowly 13th. I must admit I really fancied him to do well but I doubt he would have beaten Steve's horse.
The hunt went as I expected, average to poor. Two minor placers, three fallers, and a few still running.
Well done to all the winners and placers.

It was discussed at length also was talked about raising the age of other NH horses but was not put through its just that i know 6YO will have a pretty big advantage as potential drastically drops off at 7 i noticed this breeding national horses to the new rule. I had 2 more debut winners in each code and some solid performances in both codes Lady Jayne Felsham my main hope for the Prix Diane won nicely on debut and my number 2 2m4 hurdler Me Andre got off the mark in a chase as there was no other race for him nice options with him now
Early days but looks like slight improvement in NH and a slight back step on the flat but as i say its too early to make judgement.
Congrats to the winners and placers
great comms as always
and a huge thanks to the team

Re: Weekly Reaction
Few decent runs on the flat but no winners, much the same on the jumps with one winner on the day as my 4th best 3m hurdler 'Eights The Conclusion' wins a 3m chase, also having nothing else suitable.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Think having Dubai on week one has been a great addition already 13 trainers have winners on the flat I know i sent all my older horses to Dubai which meant they could not run in maidens.
Be some interesting maidens next week G1 placed horses trying to break their ducks but its been a positive step forward.
