FAO Doug
think you might have to look at this week for next season seems really top heavy for 6f & 7f races also some very similar races over other trips

Re: FAO Doug
Steve is correct - there were 13 races over 6 and 7 furlong during week 7.
Week 7 proposal.
Because first starters can run in Group races I have decided to drop two maiden races. They are Race 10 - 2yo 7f Maiden and Race 26 3yo+ 7f Maiden. There is still four Group races at 6f and 7f for 2yo horses to start in and three Group races for 3yo+ over 6f and 7f to start in.
Race 10 will now be The Railway Stakes a G1hcp (3yo+) over 8f from Ascot in Western Australia. Race 26 will now be a 3yo+, 0-70 over 10f (Haydock I think)
I have drop Race 8 from 0-90 to 0-85 - over 12f.
And Race 17 which was a 0-110 over 16f is now the G2hcp Adelaide Cup over 16f at Morphettville in South Australia. Both the SA and WA tracks are in the stock game. I changed Race 17 because there are eight races during week 7 that are 13f+ - two maidens and two 0-110 as the highest rated races. I think we need a quiet debate if Maiden races outside of Weeks 1 and 6 are really needed now. We could change them into low rated races and Group and Group Handicap. I like the idea of exploiting the Australian Group Handicap races as it allows top trainers with lower rated horses a chance to enter at a good weight and lower trainers get a crack with a light weight.

Re: FAO Doug
Sorry Doug, but we also need to look at 5F races for 3+ that are not group races or really low handicaps.
Only 6 handicaps (& 3 in one week) above 0-70 in 9 weeks & nothing for past 3 weeks.
Week 5 1 x G2 Week 6 1 x G1 Week 7 1 x 0-70 Week 8 1 x G2 1x 0-90 Week 9 1 x 0-110 1x 0-90 1x 85 Week 10 1 x 0-70 Week 11 1 x listed 1 x 0-100 Week 12 1 x 0-70 Week 13 1 x 0-100
