Re: Weekly Reaction
Well that was an interesting day on the hunt, somewhere between the sublime and the ridiculous. First the sublime with 'Years In The Making' and 'Battle of The Woodland' both gaining G1 success delivering on early season promise. The sublime continued with 'Your World Within' delivering a barnstorming performance, beating a class field comfortably including his stablemate who I brought in to improve the class. Then we have the first taste of the ridiculous as 'Unlimited Power' delivered her fourth second place of the season, three in her last three starts..................still she had a hand in the breeding of next bit of ridiculous as 'The Power of Dread' turned in a blistering final 3f to make his maiden look easy, maybe he has the closing speed she lacks, is what he was bred to for. There was further ridiculous as 'Extreme Consequence' was awarded the race after the DSQ of John's horse for apparently doing, nothing at all. Sorry John. The sixth and final win came from 'Time to Play the Game' winning by a whisker, likely afforded to her as Paul's horse morphed through the middle of her to run a little bit wider and further in the last 5f.............funny old game. There were also some flat races, apparently Josh

Re: Weekly Reaction
Good week for me. One win on the flat and two over the sticks. Pig in a Basket won his maiden, but surely he probably would have struggled with more horses in the race. And seriously Stu, Denmark!??! Good thing you didnt say I was swedish. Well done Ananeas on your win, even though you beat my horse. Well deserved! Great work by team again, you are doing an amazing job! I also liked your little christmas song, Stu.

Maybe it was for verbal abuse? I can only imagine the instructions Josh gives his jockeys.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Hate to start on a negative but thought G1 races were meant to only have a max of 20 runners or it might even be 16 the Coral Eclipse was a horror show most of the field had no chance but it is what it is.
2 winners over the sticks and pleasingly 2 new winners.
Nobel Queen Placed twice in her 6 runs step up in trip really helped her its job done she has a win on the board anything else a bonus
Hey Jude Drew a blank in 6 runs over novice hurdles so threw her in a novice chase and she goes and wins and its a Grade 2 ha ha 22 of my 30 NHC team have now won races just 8 winless horses with 5 and a bit weeks to go.
THE BIG MATCH after day 2 Paul 5 v 6 Josh

Re: Weekly Reaction
Thanks to the League team for another great weeks racing!!! I am very happy as my form turnaround continues. 5 x Wins this week! (2 x Grp1's) 3 x 2nds JupiterWinning the Irish Derby from Paul's monster "Stonehenge". No easy task that! The unlikely stable champion. My first pacemaker that is tough to run down. All 3 victories @ 12f have come as the front runner. pjrhodes1970 wrote: Hate to start on a negative but thought G1 races were meant to only have a max of 20 runners or it might even be 16 the Coral Eclipse was a horror show most of the field had no chance but it is what it is.
Yep, totally agree. We need to limit the numbers. Somewhere there was a post from Gray specifying the numbers but i can never find it when i look for it. If you can find it perhaps pin it or something for easy reference?

Re: Weekly Reaction
It doesn't matter if u limit some courses to 10 runners u would still have some messy races, kempton and sandown are God awful courses. I'm well happy finally winning our ( wales) big race, im breaking my own rules over jumps now by running two horses but my horses need a all out gallop like my trial races, otherwise they have no pace at a finish.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Another muddling week with quite a few unlucky losers. 3 winners so shouldn't complain though. Need to stay ahead of Stu and keep my comms crown. Well done Daniel, we started together a few seasons ago and have had a good friendly rivalry as its good to gauge yourself against someone of the same experience. You beat me to a flat G1 … well done mate

You beat me to a flat G1 … well done mate Thank you very much, guys. This is what the league is about, everybody is really heartfelt and want the best for each other and is appreacitive when someone enjoys success. You are a great community. And thanks, Martin, I feel the same about you. We got a conection when we started together and it is really a friendly rivalry. (Even though you are beating me thouroughly every season ) For me it is a great achievement winning a G1. And I dont care if it is a handicap. Now I have a G1 in both codes and a target is reached. It was great watcing the race, I am really buzzing. And thanks to Doug who is always appreciative in his commentary and always takes a moment to give an insight about the win. Onwards an upwards the league! Well done to everyone taking part, and thanks to the team for your efforts. Daniel
