Battling Qualities
Is it possible to get 100% battling qualities?

Re: Battling Qualities
I wouldn’t want to say no but I have never seen it and I’ve never heard of anyone having it. I’ve had a horse with 60% battling but it was a one off as all others would have like 30% at most and others 10%. It’s basically a bonus stat as you can have great horses with just 10%. But to answer your question sensibly I would say the answer is “maybe?” Always have hope you find something special. Happy breeding

Re: Battling Qualities
I pretty much thought that until just now. Random broodmare bought cheap (older, she raced about a dozen times and was almost always last and produced nothing of note) while starting a schedule test game. So now I think, maybe yes? 100% is possible. Maintaining it though I think would be impossible. Does not breed through well.

Re: Battling Qualities
I had a 2yo that was a poor horse but had a nearly full battling qualities bar, I thought this was a rare event having played SO1-4, I stuck it in the barn and thought how can I get this quality into a yearling but not another useless horse.
The first foal has arrived and the bar is at a quarter, still more than normal but it doesn't look good too then further breed downwards if it loses more than half the bar at a time etc
I will try again but really I guess the need to find a partner with an equal BQ bar is paramount.

Re: Battling Qualities
I had a 95% (or possibly 90% can't remember clearly now) one a couple of days ago, forgot to screenshot and retired them as they had woeful other stats. So 95% is my highest I think I've seen to date!

Re: Battling Qualities
This may be a little off topic, but how do you get the stats to display like that. My graph bars are just a plain green line, with no graduations alongside. Thanks in advance.

Re: Battling Qualities
In the Game Mods directory. just below General Discussion, look for a sub thread titled "Increment Bars". Use that mod. I tweaked those mod slightly to put faint red and green shading on the ends if I remember right.
There are several versions floating about in the mods. Some have more gradation lines like a ruler.

Re: Battling Qualities
This is another that comes close to 100%, from my latest breeding save.
