Messrs Clutterbuck and Grey do I concede to you both this season...... Maybe .... Maybe not ... But just remember Paddy Power paid out on the mighty blues getting relegated before Christmas and we ended up well ahead of a certain disaster team of arrogant under achievers from round the corner. Didn't we Stu. And lets not forget to mention the famous North London bottlers being cheered on in the valleys. I'll be back so watch out

Yeah throw in the towel now........ It wont do you any harm being at the bottom of the comms and Gray table for a change

Still along way to go, and the marks tend to be a little all over the place first 2-3 weeks as hard for the handicapper to really gauge what a horses level is, but they will pan out and you'll b back to winning ways, patience old boy!

Sure you’re not just moaning to try and tug the heart strings of the handicapper ?

Day 3 was atrocious for me, nothing showed on the AW which was disappointing.

Looks like AW league will just be a carbon copy more or less of the main league table looking at the numbers.

I disagree , the top trainer horses will rise in the hcap and be rated to high when the proper hcsps kick in. If it works then I think it needs to be looked at more for next season. More races in the 70- 80's ratings.

Plus I put my money on u to win it , so train u horses harder

Lets hope so.

Quick comment about TOM, before at nominations your horse would only be able to enter a handicap 2 furlongs each side of its last run, now it appears open ?

I can put a 12F handicap Horse in a 15F & a 10F in a 2miler.

Didn’t know if this has changed ?

There are probably 3 or 4 races left for the top 3 trainers

Where u have 18 0-85 rated races to go. All to play for. Lets hope it goes down to the championship races.

My 2yo horse Sharky won a 9f maiden in week 1 (it gets 10f as well but not 8f) but I can't see a suitable race until week 8.
This may have been brought up before but it's something that needs to be addressed in future.

2 Winners in NH WK3

Donny Belle - Good win in 2m novice hurdle, expected a good run, she loves the heavy ground, Great to see Royal Bond is heavy ground next week
See You - In 3m novice chase. Good to see her winning at Cheltenham, but can't get too excited about her yet, carried 8lb less weight than others

NH is very competitive this season

Great week, John could well challenge Josh all the way

0 winners again on Flat again

Poor team, many old horses and too many stayers that are just not quite good enough, and it seems tough division

Congrats, David and Jim, on your Guineas wins

Well done to all others with winners and placers

Thanks to everyone running the league

Hi all,

Finally caught up on all the comments.

Paul, Comms have been great. You have been a little hard on yourself, I think everyone is just happy with anything, but like the other you are adding extra details etc.

Davylad - I have the same issue, 2 x 2yos havent been able to race since week one. I had this 3 seasons ago in my first season, so gave up on 2Yos last season, but noticed there are lots of big races later.

Schedule - started another thread, just so we can comment. As I think in the moment (ie week to week) you notice things more than compared to the end of the year. The one question I have in general, are we looking a good mix every week. Are we still looking to reduce the amount of races most week to make the admin side of it easier?

My stable - My 2Yos and stayers seem to be very good. Sprinters are disappionting but as they lack that extra speed they get found out in the big races. Milers more disappionted than I thought based on the trials, I thought I had made up some distance. Martin, Spanish Katie the colt makes me laugh too, its a game name.

Compton Rose was impressive, but interesting as we all say, Sticky Finder was a lot better in my trials. Cadger Ghost I havent given up hope with yet..

First 2 season i only went for Group races, and was happy with top 5 but having the chance to win. Going to be more selective this season and try and get some handicap wins.

Thanks again for everyone helping run the league

The two year old races mimics real life, where all the best 1m+ Races come at the middle to end of the season.
U start of with 5 furlong races and work u way up until around middle of the season and u start to get 7 furlong plus races. The best 8 furlong plus races start around September time onwards.

What used to happen when we had a mid season window was people would put in their 8 furlong plus 2yos then.

Good week in all with a Grade 1 and Grade 3 wins over jumps , again i seem to have a strong juvenile hurdler same as last year and strong in the 2m4f hurdles department. Chasers as a rule are rubbish and couldnt say why so just oh well instead.

Flat team seem decent if not quite top end i fear i will have at least a few horses stuck between to high for handicaps and not group class but its a good problem to have as i remember the days when i was thrilled to get any winner at any level and would go weeks without even getting close.

Huge thanks to all that run the league and the commentary lads are brilliant and totally individual in the way they do it , no drop off at any time in standards from any of you guys so huge congrats .

Last thing for Martin i am a big fan of the "man of many colours" moniker!! and in all honesty i have had so many games start and crash that my stable is a mish mash of about 9 games i think and each 1 different silks for a fresh start ....didnt take into account how that plays out in the league so going forward i will choose and stick with 1

Some horses are just league horses, u just cant explain it. Thats one of the good things about the game, the unknowns. Its like when u think u have two horses who are equal in u trials and yet one can be rated 20 pounds higher in the league.

Well thats sort of true, for me its more accurate to say some styles suit the league better and that the race kit is such a pile of crap on any given day any number of horses can win, run the same race 6 times you'll get 6 different results. I long ago worked out all my horses are basically the same, you can run 8th four times in a row and then win the next 4 :) there is a lot less to it than people think and a huge slice of luck, the draw, the competition run styles and the vaguaries of the race kit :)

And we are finally off the mark! Memory Bridge scooping up the 0-70 sprint. I did think he was well handicapped and as a 6f horse once he got to the front he had the engine to stay there.

Titanfall as expected is a group horse with a great run in the Chester Cup, had Ryan Moore not taken him wide from a plum draw in 4, may have gone closer.

Not much else of note as most of my other chances will come on Wednesday.

Congrats Nick, nice to see the wins being spread about

Decent week so far for me without many runners. First off an apology for Frisco Lantern. I put in my write up of the race it was a punt over 7f as he'd been so poor over 6, but clearly it's a 7f horse. He was uploaded for 6f I promise. I'm gonna put him up 35lbs for that. I was only glad Martin wasn't commentating that race :) I can assure you it was a genuine mark for its form over 6

6f Duke of York - 1-2 in this. I really had no sprinters a few weeks before trialling for the league. The last distance I bred an probably the best. Sensational Seller now 2nd on 3 occasions. Must have a big race in him soon. Velocity Sensation continues to look as good as I always thought. One of those freak sprinters that shows as a miler in the stats. Has loads of speed to stay handy, an finishes the race extremely well, could be the best horse I've ever had

Sensational Strings putting down his Derby claim with a comfortable win in the trial race. He hadn't had any race to suit before that, so good to see. Especially as he's actually from my old game

Thanks to everyone keeping it going

After a great couple of flat weeks, back to normal with just the one winner, almost won a G3 (dont crucify it Vinny  ) but beaten by one of those returning horses with no penalty, as mentioned in that thread, "returning is the penalty" (funny that was only elite players saying that ) but it proves a G1 horse from a previous season can still hoover up G3's easily and frustrating for the less than elite trainers who might just be knocking on the door of a Group race.

I guess winning by default (in my eyes) for top trainers (sorry Josh) doesn’t matter, as long as its a win and numbers on the board.

My hunt horses are still dire, although close in a couple of odd races, cant seem to get a hunter win though, which is surprising.

Well done Alex and all the team.

Ps. Quick apology regarding Ludlow, I ran and didn’t update course, sorry.

Stu I don't think u could even do it , I'm not sure its even in the ck code. Might be wrong. And Stu I still have faith in u wining the AW champs. :)

Another good weak for my jumpers, I think finally breeding genuine 4m4 horses makes me really happy. And finally getting my fav national horse Northern Bay to be decent. :D

I wonder if the flat h'capper will get an appolgy 8)

And vinny u horse need to go up 50 pounds not 35

Thanks everyone who makes the league happen.

I fried my hard drive. Does anyone have a vanilla version download of the game they can send me?

My horses are slowly coming around. Looks like I'm around a 75 handicapper this season.
