I'm wondering what people do to get a good miler....

 Do you..

 A.Breed two 1m horses
B.Breed a 5f horse with a 1m 2f/3f horse so it has stamina and a turn of foot
 c.None of the above

Personally I find A is more effective for a regular game but B works quite well for the league, though it would be more like 6f/7f with a 9f/10f horse for me.

Breed a good 6f horse with a good miler. You will most likely produce a good 7f horse after a few attempts, or you might be lucky and get a first miler straight off.

With the faster 7f, I would then breed that with a miler. When you breed with smaller gaps in distance, is does take longer, but bloodlines become more sustainable.
