Cheers Doc! Its the first time I have ever bet on the Breeders Cup so I dont know what it is like normally, but bar the stayer race, everything else that won was probably in the first 4 or 5 taking the first corner. Early speed seems to be so important!
Lots of decent winners on here from a whole host of people in the end!

I want a Breeders cup every Saturday night now! I did crap with only George Vancouver and Groupie Doll all weekend.
Still, it was great fun, and entertainment guaranteed, cheers everyone.

Few exceptions to the lead at the first bend rule- starspangledbanner and calidoscopio! Don't know about anyone else but for me the BC has lost some of its appeal recently, need to see more British runners, especially in races like the classic.

Re: Breeders Cup Santa Anita 2012
Unfortunately as te yard have gone by and it has gained the 'world championships' tag, IMO it's less of a world championships than ever- the best horses are no longer racing there only 3 of the top 15 in the world, 1 of the top 9 and 0 of the top 5 raced there. The classics an overrated race that only gets its big billing, like the world cup because of the huge prize money on offer, yet the horses on display are not worth that sort of money. They call it the world championship end of season finale, yet the best in America on all surfaces didn't even run in it, let alone any of the best in the world. This article also gives a few reasons why it's not the best- http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-ra ... t7DaysNews. It's the Ryder cup of horseracing, with many of the big names missing, but not in anyway the world championships.
