Too much cricket
At last the end of a long tour of India, time for a rest? No! straight to New Zealand There is definitely too much cricket at the moment and there is a real danger of burn-out of the fans as well as the players. I propose a 5 year cycle to be introduced as opposed to the 4 at the moment. I know the ashes would be only every 30 months or so, but something has to be done. Ian

Re: Too much cricket
I couldnt agree more!
I think this is what some players like KP complain about, he knows hes going to make his money in the IPL but how can he play in it when England never stop playing? Its no surprise that players get injured more, look at Flintoff, for me he only got his injuries because of how much he played!
There seems to be no off-season for International cricketers, if there not playing for England, they are expected to maintain their form for their county and there is no break....i propose no cricket in February and March every year! Give the pitches chance to grow, give the players chance to rest so they come back fresh and give the fans a break so we dont get "bored"

Re: Too much cricket
I agree that the cricket schedule has just got ridiculous, needs a revamp, but I doubt they will.

Re: Too much cricket
I don't really like cricket and I have no interest in it, but reading this thread I thought it's a bit of a silly question to ask because the answer is obvious. They won't change the scheduling or reduce the amount of games (?)/ matches (?) until people stop paying up to £2k for tickets! Like everything in this country and around the world, whilst the mugs are still willing to pay the 'big wigs' will exploit them as much as they can. I'm not calling any of you mugs, I'm merely referring to the attitude that these big corporations or whoever runs these things have towards the fans and the people who pay these prices.
