Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews SO7 Season 4
Great week for my jumps squad 2 graded winners over the sticks and the team continues to surprise me .
another blank week on the flat remain on 4 winners in 4 weeks something has gone badly amiss with my breeding or my CK have to keep boxing on no other choice
Some have suggested starting again from scratch that will just put me lightyears further behind or suggested starting a combined game I just hate it it so clunky and 100% non enjoyable
just have to hope for a turn in fortunes
Huge thanks to everyone who runs the league especially Alex this week hope Gray makes a speedy recovery
P.S. I'm away from Tuesday for 2 week so have to do all my entries for the following 2 weeks on Monday if i enter horses either rated 2 low or 2 high just scratch them apologies if it causes any hassle but have no option.

But I like you will never play combined. And I don’t think you can enter weeks ahead now they all seem locked will need help from Leon, maybe Alex?

Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews SO7 Season 4
Nice day on Thursday 2 out of 2 NH both 2m4f hurdlers. Wish I could enter horses like that all the time but when I expect them to win they never do.
Flat is just dismal to say the least. Entered them up this week anyways.
Looking forward, I think Nightclubber has a great chance of her first win in the Moores Millions, surprised it's not a graded race. Something stupid is bound to happen but anything she does at 6yo is great.
Big thanks to Alex, reckon you had to take the reigns earlier than expected, can't of been easy but you came through nicely!
Get well soon Gray.

Ah ok you used to be able to enter for the whole season looks like I'm taking a 2 week break then

Don't we usually have a break after week 6? which would mean you only have to have week 6 open for nominations? Alex EDIT just realised that it looks like it is after week 7 we are having a break, nominations for week 6&7 are open for you

That is why week 7 is full of maidens. The upload window needs to be opened after week 6 I think. However it does seem more sensible calendar wise to break for weekend of 23rd and 30th. All things considered maybe we should extend the break to three weeks and break after week 6 as usual and reconvene in the new year.

Re: Trainers Thoughts & Reviews SO7 Season 4
Not up to me and dosesnt really matter to me either way. I just assumed the break coincided with the upload window because all the new horse files had to be checked etc. I always thought that was the main reason for the break as we usually have one even if it isn't Christmas.
Probably best not to have races Friday 23rd and 30th so I would suggest a three week break after the upload window if there is a lot of extra work for you and potentially Leon and Gray to do. Your call really as you have the extra work to do between weeks 6 and 7 and you are already doing loads.

Ok, i figured it out from this post from Gray viewtopic.php?f=16&t=20843We open uploads from next friday, then after week 7 we go on a break until 6th January 2023, so no races on the 23rd or 30th

That is how I understand it to be set up. I was just concerned about the potential extra work for you. As in those few days between week 6 ending and noms closing for week 7 you will have to check all new uploads as well as do the handicapping and in week 6 there are a lot of bonus races too. We should really have started the season a week later so the natural break came after week 6 but thats easy to say now. Hopefully there won't be too many new uploads!
