Thought i would put up a little guide for newbies.

Beginning

I personally start by completing around 15 flat seasons and exporting 6 horses in the jumps game. These horses need to have either good or average jumping (found on training screen) and a preference for softer ground (good is acceptable). The league follows real life ground condtitions so most races are on softer ground.

Novices

These are horses that have not run over hurdles or fences before in the league and you have to select whether the horse is a novice or not when you upload the horse.
These horses can only run in novice races and handicaps that are not graded class

Juveniles

These are 4 year old horses that must be uploaded as a novice to compete in juvenile (4YO) races. These can only again compete in non-graded handicaps and novices

Bumpers horses (NH flat races)

These are flat races over 2 miles. All horses are allowed to run in these until they run over hurdles or fences. The only exception is that novices can run in them even after running over hurdles or fences

Ages to upload

There are exceptions but this is the average
2 milers 5 year olds
2m4 to 3m 5/6 year olds
3m to 3m5 7 year olds
4m+ 8/9 year olds

Personally i believe 4 year olds are weaker unless uploaded for bumpers or juvenile hurdle races

2 2m4 hurlder (1 novice)
1 2m2 hurdler
3 2m hurdlers (1 novice)
