Why do so many of my horses pull up injured?
Been thinking of posting this for a number of weeks now, but thought I'd see if things changed...but they haven't.
This is mostly in the NH, every week I will have at least two horses pull up injured. From all the other races I have watched and commentated on I think I have seen one other horse from another trainer that has sustained an injury.
I export when the horses are fully fit and in top condition so not sure what is going on. It's probably about 95% NH horses, been racking my brain trying to think what could be the cause. The only thing I can come up with is I run a combined save, so maybe a bunch of my NH horses are flat horses and are getting injured...seems a stupid suggestion, but can't think of anything else.
Was wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen in previous seasons. I surely can't just be that unlucky!

I was going to suggest the flat thing. However, most of my NH horses are flat horses an I've never sen them all get injured. Mostly mine just jump slowly once the pace quickens. Could just be if it's not agile too. But that's a complete guess. If a horse can't jump, an isn't agile. I imagine injuries would occur, but could be overplaying the Agility stat

Check the breeding. May all have the same horse in the breeding line that is passing on the injury trait.
All of my NH horses come from a combined game.
I have never done a dedicated NH save on SO7

You could be onto something there....most of them are greys....maybe a trait they have picked up somewhere in their lineage

That is a trait that carries in lines, along with things like refusing to start and not settling etc. You need to breed it out brutally. Cull the whole line or it will sneak in elsewhere.
This said I never got rid of my settling issues in my US flat game, but the nosebands usually do the trick. But you can't fix injuries.
I would stay focus the line on stamina as an option but your not manually training I dont think.

No I have auto training on. Will look at culling the line. It seems to be mostly the NH side and I'm thinking of starting a new NH only save for next season anyway so we'll see how it goes!
