It’s horses for courses, the game for me is mind numbingly dull, I would not play it at all if it were not for the league. The ultimate and only challenge is playing and beating other people, not a machine who is limited by code, that can be mastered in no time at all.

Exactly this, I just went back to my middle distance game an sprint game after months off. The first 3 seasons will be dreadful, no idea what I was doing at the end but some of the stallions being used was just bizarre. Means I now have 3 seasons in each where I know the trials will be dreadful, already done one of each an it was the case. It's painful playing through a season an having to do a full set of trials just in case, all the while knowing there can't really be anything in there. Be exciting once that first seasons 3yo's are trialled from when I took it back up though last week.

What a final day, winning my fav flat race the kentucky derby is always special. To round it off winning the big grade 1 in France with my best 3m+ horse Celtic Shot was very pleasing. Not bred one like him where he is good over 3m to 3m5. Hopefully soft ground for the king George and a wet winter.

Wow. Two winners on the same day in week 3. That was way more than I expected.
And nice as well that it was with Martins commentary. He has always been supportive and helpful.

I cant remember why I got away from the league, but really is happy to be back. And that was before the wins. Last friday, when I entered the horses, I could feel the excitment and anticipation. That what is fun with horse racing, both irl and here, you can always have hope.

And i liked this quote from the AI news, it is proof that AI sometimes hallucinates :"These victories served as a timely reminder of Arrogante's prowess as a trainer, and his ability to coax the best out of his horses."

Seeking Glory - in the 2m1 Huron Handicap Chase, winning by nearly 4l. Hopefully he can step up and win at Group level like his dam, Seeking the Stars, who won 3 G1 races in the league
One Legend - disappointed first 2 weeks, but he was on it today, winning by 5l in the 2m6 Novice Chase, hoping he can run just as well at 3m
On Track -won the 2m Novice hurdle at Chepstow really well by 5l. Nice horse by last season's Christmas Hurdle winner Fast Track and also by Royal Duty
Treasure Planet 2nd in this race too, hoping they do the same next week at Cheltenham in the Sharp Novices Hurdle G2
Queenofthelodge - winning the Tipper Road Listed Hurdle, glad she won that after not getting into the race last week at the same distance and ground

Olympic Class -Good 2nd in the French 2m5 Novice Chase G1, losing to Josh's horse The Pitch
Chosen Hero - good 2nd and Battle Ready 3rd in the 2m5 novice hurdle, losing to Darren's horse Steps Of Salvador. Talks of my hurdlers, but he's got some really good ones also beat 2 of my 2m hurdlers last week too
Stars Away 3rd in the 2m Novice Chase at Cheltenham, but well beaten by Josh's horses The Pretty One and The Slash. Star Guest and Sixth Gear ran poor again this week too I really need to try and improve my 2m chases more for next season. I still have some hope for Seeking Glory horse though on faster ground

Disappointing horses

Ace Queen - 6th in Carmarthen Hurdle; she finished 2nd in this last season on ground she doesn't really like
Always Brave - 10th in the JNwine Champion Chase; finished 3rd in this last season, but he didn't get into the race this season. Congrats Matt on your first G1 win
Magic Word 4th in Persian War Novices Hurdle; talked her up; big mistake lol sorry backers, looking at schedule again not much for her now maybe the Monksfield Novices Hurdle G2 in 2 weeks then onto the festivals
Vautour 6th in the Gowran Champion Chase G2, so good in my trials at home but he's just not getting into the races in the league

Been MIA with the end of financial year and sick (just winter sickness).
Just put a quick stable note up on other thread.

So far it has been a good start. I was hoping the advancement in the mile in my trials had carried through to the League verse just better than what I had. The impressive thing has been the amount of top 5s for me. Shows they could win on the right day.

Pasta Maker has been strong but maybe not challenged yet. Maxi Pack is my big hope for the 1.4m races. Tortz is my best miler but has not stepped up to the League yet. Can't believe I forgot to put a 3YO 10f horse in.

Glad its back. Leon love the improvements, and great work from the coms team. I like the idea of not doing coms on all races too, as it makes less work for Martin and crew.
