Online league questions for a new trainer :)
Hi all, This is my first post on the forum so I apologise firstly if the answer is elsewhere on the forum. I understand the league season is already under way, I was wondering how long an online season lasts? Also, at which rate are the races ran, i.e do you complete 1 weeks worth of races in 1 real life week, or do you all race mulitple weeks in a few days of real time? I currently have no good horses to enter a league however I would like to have an idea how much time I have before I can enter a new season, as I understand you can't enter a current running season Great work on SO5 developer(s), a nice improvement from SO4

hi mate
season runs for 12 weeks between 30-40 races per week at different grades for jumps or flat the current season has 2 weeks left
you enter your horses by a saturday then get the race replays on the following thursday jumps or friday flat you have plenty of time to build a team new lge wont start til after september

Great, thanks for the quick response !
Gives me plenty of time to get fully accustomed to SO5. Hopefully I will have at least one good horse for each distance, although I am sure I will be hard pressed to achieve even half of them in that time.

remember to export your horses, you will need the files to be able to race.

hackett wrote: remember to export your horses, you will need the files to be able to race. I have exported one horse, as he is the only horse I have in stable which oozes any class. Unfortuantely I only exported him at age 3 and 4, although as a 2 year old he wasn't very good. I decided to start my first serious stable last night and had no G1 winners in the first season, actually I had not a single group 1 winner in SO5 up to that point(previous stables i created were for testign purposes not serious training). Season 2 saw one of my 3 year old horse win 6 G1's in one year ! I think this improvement might be a small part due to me dumping R.Moore as the jockey. I hired Dettori and Barzalona to ride him who together with my 3 year old turned my bank balance from £160,000 to £2,700,000 in one season Furthermore I managed to install all available stable updates thanks to my one horse having a great year !! Season 3 has seen him win his first 2 G1's, unfortunately he is now injured and I am wrapping him up in cotton wool until the Big races in October and November. So great news is I have an extremely good G1 horse who is beating all the course records in my game and he will hopefully breed me some nice flat horses for the upcoming online season So glad I didn't geld him at 2

Keep in mind that exported horses for 1st league of SO5 will be from games with minimum played 50 seasons. So your horse is maybe only a grand-grand-grand-grand-grand.......sire of your upcoming league horses! Good luck and have fun!

I am interested in joining the next league as well and will like clarifications on your point. Not too sure how to administer the 50 seasons rule. Does it go by lineage as in which generation of horses or can I have a game that is into 51 st season and import a horse I have elsewhere that definitely will not have hit 50 seasons from it's ancestry lines; and export the horse. Not sure how this works.
