Post Re: SO5 Trials Racecard
Did better than expected with 2 winners a 3rd and a 4th. Others finished 6th.8th.10th and 13th (distressed).
However these were the best horses I have, and I have nothing for the longer distance races.
Have to get back to my flat game, been playing owners mode (enjoyable but frustrating, started over I don't know how many times) DBD mode (a bit boring but it doesn't take long to play) and my jumps game is starting to bear fruit although nothing special yet.
These trials have whetted my appetite for the league again and i'm looking forward to it, however I have a stable to fill so must get back to breeding those monsters that will dominate the league for seasons to come.

Very disappointing effort by my runners. Getting trounced by 5 lengths left and right. I haven't put much time in and lost some games and horses due to hard drive failure, but I was expecting a little better than that. Very disheartening, and I'm not sure if it's even worth putting any time in to try the league this time around as I'm wayyyy behind.

Thanks for running the races KBeaky, and nice job with your lot.

I haven't put that much time in Doza but have got lucky with a few stallions that improved my lines by lengths at a time. They are out there mate.

I think a lot of trainers want to be the best, well we all do. But I also think you can get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction by aiming your horses at a specific race or a team at big handicaps and pulling it off. Although its everyones dream G1's are not the be all and end all.

i echo those thoughts we would all like to be the best but it is so hard for soemone to dominate
basicly so5 i think its alot slower to master a distance compared to so4 so mastering 10 distances is near impossible
i think it will be wide open this season
my tip is akhc

Cheers for the vote of confidence PJ but judging by the times in the trials there are a lot of us who are there or therebouts. Certainly there's plenty of competition at every distance and there are some like 12f where I am just off the pace. First time in the league and that's a steep learning curve. I'm sure there are plenty who will be fielding better runners than I will.
