Got to admit I'm having as much fun with my jump hcappers as I did with my flat team. It's strange that my strongest part of my team are my 3 hurdlers, my chasers are up and down. Its still nice to see my front runners.

Bit of a shock going 1-2 in King George. Had to be the combination of fast pace and softer ground which helped my 2 hold up horses.

Great performance that Leon. Thought mine had you at one point but faded a yours came strong.

I was a bit shocked with Buffalo Caretaker taking the grade 1 2m chase over the sticks. 2 from 2 now an seemed to win this one well. A few have surprised me so far, may not be quite as bad with my NH stable as I thought I would be. I think the break to concentrate on my flat stable worked though, as I went back with a lot more ideas and techniques for breeding etc, an it seemed to have worked having only added 5 seasons to an old game where they were all pretty poor in the league. A couple of graded handicap wins too I think. All in all a very good day, an not from the horses I expected surprisingly

I don’t think I can stress enough how important it is to step back from your game occasionally, take an hour or 2 an just adjust all your breeding stallions, cull some mares etc. maybe even have some trials randomly just to see who should be doing the breeding. Just clean up the game every now an then, always seems to propel my games when I do that. It’s pretty much all I done with the NH game after 2 seasons off

I totally agree with this concept. I have been doing this since SO5 days.

In my flat save it usually takes me about 7 or 8 seasons for a new generation of horses to mature, also takes time to breed enough horses in the new generation. It is at that point I have a big re-evaluation of the horses in the barn. Quite often the number of horses, stallions and mares, in the barn is almost cut in half. (My flat horses peak at 4yo, so they go to barn at the end of 4yo season.)

Since NH horses take longer to reach their peak, 8yo, the barn gets cleaned about every 12 - 14 seasons.

I have had enough this will be my last season doing anything in the League i will have horses in the league if it continues with someone else Race Running etc its Wednesday 4.40 and still only had a couple of races run for day 3.

It's getting worse Day 1 and 2 are done by Sat/Sun yet day 3 Wednesday Night ? i am fed up of uploading Races to You Tube early in the mornings some other fool can do it i aint doing it no more unless races can be ran by Sunday Night.

I know I have not always been the most reliable race runner in the past but at least for the rest of this season I will help out. I always had my races run by Sat evening.

If you are still using the same system, give me access to dropbox, I have software for running races. Will need to update jockey colours and any race tracks that are not standard, but they can be downloaded.

Try not to give me any races with my horses in them. That's why I packed it in the last time. Was fed up being accused of cheating. I only have 6 flat and one NH horse. Give me NH races.

Jim

ps - will probably need to give myself a quick refresher couse.

Since there has not been any response to my offer of help in the post above or any response to the email I sent that everything is back to normal now. That you do not need my help running races.

Thanks to Gray and Stu for covering most of the comms in the last couple of weeks. Got a few eye issues that I don't need to bore you with but hopefully will be able to do some this week.

For those interested in such things I don't and never have worn Cacharel aftershave although it was quite pleasant. Back in the 80s I was Kouros and then Calvin Klein Crave. Then I moved on to Cool Water by Davidoff and these days I rotate between that, Sauvage by Dior, Oud Wood by Tom Ford, Myrrh and Tonka by Jo Malone and L'Homme Sport depending on my mood or the occasion ... just in case anyone is interested!!
