Example: Start with stable of 24 retire 1 horse upload 2 new
Thanks in advance Only additional uploads been planned not retirements, unless there is a huge demand for this but don't think it is generally wanted, but may be wrong

 Re: Upload Window
For me the retirement aspect is what created an unbalance between the tiers and allows the top tier to have even more advantages, so retiring certain 3yo’s once most of their races are over or adding longer distance 2yo’s etc, you can maximise all angles, not to mention the handicap mark they start with. Anyone chasing the title is more likely to fill the team over missing wins for the first 7 weeks. So an add only window will mostly help those catching up and still breeding mid league, and even then I would cap it to maybe 5 horses. Just my opinion.

 Re: Upload Window
One option could be to only allow the retirement of maidens.
This would help newcomers to upgrade their stable but would also still give middle and top trainers a chance to freshen things up

 Re: Upload Window
I'm ok with trainers outside top 5 being able to replace there horses ( It was 5 retirements allowed in the past ) It does help trainers who are struggling.
Just le mw know either way as very easy to implement

 Re: Upload Window
Fine with that too, but is it top five based on last season or top five as at the time of the window. The latter makes more sense to me.

 Re: Upload Window
Thanks makes sense, regarding retirements. I'll plan for none and if allowed and 'needed' I can think about that later.
It was simular to what Josh said, I was thinking about a 3YO sprinter and noticed after the first few weeks they don't have many 3 yr only races, and I have a good 10f 2YO who doesn't have many races earlier but then lots at the end. It would have been this swap.
Josh, don't think you have to worry about being outside the top 5.

 Re: Upload Window
Problem with that is working out what the top 5 is. Some base it on wins, some base it on money.
Also it would ,at present, rule out nearly half of the NH trainers.
I think you either have to have it or you don't, and if you do it has to be open to all.
As I suggested earlier restricting it to only maidens that can be replaced would stop people transferring out horses that had already won their target or had gone up the handicap too much. One of the reasons it was removed was people replacing horses that had won big races including classics and replacing them with with 4yos (perfectly within the rules at the time but wasn't popular with anyone as I recall)
That would seem fair to everyone to me as even the top trainers get the odd donkey

 Re: Upload Window
Would be against the idea, if you want to have new horses after WK 6/7 then leave slots. If you have poor horses they can mix it up in the lower handicaps.

 Re: Upload Window
Hi there, Im noticing that many are in favor of only allowing 5 uploads at the window. I left 12 slots open as I gain my footing in my first league season. Please let me know if the 5 uploads are going to hold so I can add a few more horses before the season starts.
