Has for Cad he has faced the best there is to offer in his first 2 starts same has Lippy Slap.
Though i still feel that Cad should be higher rated because of the statue of the races he has raced in.
I do agree, the other difficulty the league has is horses in the stranger distances. I.e in UKRA 1m5f and 1m3f horses will have lower ratings than 1m4f horses because they are limited in the races they can enter.
In NHC there are lots more distances and using 2m5f or 2m6f as an example, a lot of the horses which prefer that distance will mainly be competing over 2m4f or 3m and have lower ratings accordingly. That's why you can't really compare ratings, i.e I'd be more impressed by a 140 rated 2m4f horse than a 3m horse.
Hopefully this gives more of a chance to 2m6f horses competing in 3m handicaps.
It's a tough job handicapping...

Very good week for me with 6 winners
R1 Istabraq (1) I was hopeing at a top 3 finish here thinking 2m2f is maybe too much but the jockey as given istabraq a top class ride here to win it very happy to finally get a Gr1 win at short hurdles. prob wont see Istabraq now till Punchestown with sandra and worldsbest off to cheltenham shame we cant have two runners for a race lol
R5 Snowy (1) Great to see Snowy back to her best again very happy with the win off 8lb more alot of top class horses did fall this week though kennys horse Sea Nymph looked the most unlucky one was looking so well - next race for Snowy will be the Queen Mother Champion Chase where im hopeing for another win
R6 Worldsbest (1) expected another good win here and she didnt disappoint winning well by over 3l next stop is the Dovecote Novices Hurdle next week where i expect another win then off to cheltenham for the Irish Bank Supreme Novices Hurdle I would love to run her in the champion hurdle but gotta have sandra in that to try and win it for the second win
R9 Cue Card (1) Impressive win here very happy knew 2m6f wouldnt be a problem and he would go very close but never expected him to win so well great ride by the jockey may drop him back to 2m4f next week before he goes off to cheltenham for The Ballymore Properties Novices Hurdle where he will be a big fav after this weeks run
R10 Jest (1) Great to see my horse Jest win a graded race been so consistant all season and really deserves this win won well too surprised by that must of really taken to the track this week the Bartlett Cheltenham Novices Hurdle is still the target at cheltenham
R14 Defoe (1) Good win here had everything in his favour this week drop in trip and weight and the heavy ground really helped over 2m2f will run him again next week but not sure what race yet
R2 Cape Dollar (6) expected abit better then 6th this week the cheltenham gold cup will be the next race not good form doing into that but should run much better over 3m2f - well done rich with red rooney another great win there
[b]R3 Whisper (13) Just didnt turn up today very disappointing well done david with Smoothie you have a top class 4yo there also same goes to Muchidoaboutnothing for a very close 2nd place
R4 Hopscotch (3) G1 winner on flat thought i would give her afew races over fences before she goes back to australia for the melborne cup not a bad start too with a 3rd place finish hopefully more the same next week but will be tough
R7 Godiva (F) Fell AGAIN very disappointed dont know if i should put her in the champion bumper now instead of the Arkle
R8 Chabal (P) Pulled up - had everything in her favour this week and was expecting a win oh well cant have all the luck - welldone 17days
R11 Own it (f) knew i was taking a gamble this week drop in trip and tough fences it just didnt pay off she as now also been withdrawn from the GN due to a new horse called Doctor Bond coming into the stable next week - welldone padraig with your newcomer good start before the gold cup
Well done to everyone with winners and places roll on cheltenham
Great comms as always guys keep up the good work

It's all cool Rich.
Just alittle frustrated with another blank week lol.
S04 is alot different from S03 with the huge weight factor.
Can remember in season 2, horses carring big weights and winning.
Don't think it's possible with S04, though some horses have run very well, but just cannot seem to hang on to the line.
Yes Paul it's looking that way mate lol, been a bad few weeks for my stable, am hoping Cheltenham can bring around a change of luck.
Got some nice types to upload in week 13, so looking forward to see how they get on.

CADABYR has beaten some good horses, i disagree with you there Rich.
I do agree with what else you are saying however - i just feel a handicapper would give the nhc league that extra touch it needs!! id be happy to handicap one disicipline i.e. hurdlers or chasers

Thanks for the heads up Paul
I was just wondering what happened when a horse had a fatal fall in the league. It wasn't my horse btw, I simply noticed it was dead when viewing the results.
Kev.

I've not doubt that it has beaten good horses, it's just good at 2m6f is a rating of 125 whereas good at 3m is 140.
Having a handicapper is definitely something we will look at. For me it's weighing up the time it takes to the benefit we get from it. I am also considering reducing the number of handicaps and instead having divisions (like restricted races but better). Then, in the big handicap races we can have all the trainers coming together and have a race handicapper rather than a handicapper for every horse individually.
That would be less time intensive and way more fun.

Just wanted to double check on this issue of my horse that died not being available anymore.....
When I was doing my noms last saturday the horse was still in my stable and appeared in the list of available horses when I clicked on "nominate horse" for certain races. I didn't enter it as I wasn't sure what is supposed to happen. Is this horse supposed to be removed from my stable??
I didn't even notice it had died when watching the race. Saw it fall and just quit the race and only checked the winners. Only saw it had died after reading the comments on the forum! Bit disappointing, but it's not like this horse was a world beater anyway!!

its supposed to leave your stable immediately ?
leaving a space for you to fill if you wish to ?
but with all the things going on with TOM right now
i'm not surprised its still with you
probably have to remove it manually
maybe Rich can do it for you?
gl with your fresh blood Patrick

First time ive seen a horse die in the league and to be honest i didnt think it could happen but i would of thought this would of been ignored and the trainer could keep racing the horse just like when you see a horse get injured in the league
Maybe next season horses that get injured will miss a week of racing if we are wanting the league realistic
