Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Volpini (2nd) - Really though she would win off bottom weight. Hope the handicapper is kind so she has another chance to win Night Nurse (4th) - Good result in listed company but the handicaps will be a struggle now Monte Carlo (8th) - Only beat 1 home, outclassed in listed company Table One (2nd) - Only 3 runners but good to pick up some prize money Anouchka Cherie (7th) - Could never get on terms, doesn't seem good enough King Louie (7th) - Out of his depth in group company Always nice to have some placings even though they are only handicaps. Well done to everyone in the places today, especially Rod McClure, another new winner (I think)

Well done to James Wheeler and Rod. Good to see you get on the board for this season.
Mine ran as I expected.
Drum Niche is a 9f horse so did well over 8, though the first two would've been further clear with less traffic problems.
Nio Incept was disappointing.
Bits N Bobs won well enough. Lockinge next.
Smash Up showed herself to be Group class. Shame she missed Dubai due to owners sulking.
Looking forward to Megastar show his true running tomorrow and also Catch Me, though not sure track will suit.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R7 Madness (6th) - Dreadful horse that will always find league races tough no matter what grade of race he runs in. R8 Happy Ranger (4th) - ran ok. Just wasn't good enough on the day. R9 Wild Blue Yonder (5th) - Nowhere near good enough for group races but is rated too high to have much chance in handicaps. He's between a rock and a hard place and likely to be retired after week 5.
Well done all winners and placers.

2 Winners 1 Second 1 Third
Slip Anchor was very unlucky in the Royal Mile, would of won with a clear run, got stopped 5 times. Won the two staying handicaps but they weren't great races. Delighted with the number of winners I'm getting on the Flat this season.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R11 - Kiki Marina 3rd stayed on strong to much to do promising debut though R12 - King Lateefa 6th totally outpaced behind an impressive MegaStar R13 - Our Henry WINNER yes he continues to amaze me overtaken by Andy's horse down final furlong only to fight back and win i am delighted with him he is alot better than i thought R14 - Trojan Forces 6th Trip too short has a nice mark to play with major 1m2f handicap next
2000 Guineas COMPRENDE given an absolute joke of a ride Broke better than most got out well and jockey pulled the head off him detached halfway jockey stayed motionless when 10 lengths of leader 2f from home he had no chance jockey held him up again same problems crop up in mile races
Seriously this is far from sour grapes but this needs sorting for so6 and in fact possibly needs looking at b4 next season i feel very deflated by that just cant fathom that ride

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Congrats to KINGMAMBO and Darren for winning the 2000 guineas, brilliant burst of accelaration from 2 to 1 pole deservedly won him the race. Pleased with the running of my horse Yarpi, was given every chance, but weakened to finish 4th, which suggests hes just short of group 1 class.
other pleasing performances: YARLACCI - 4th in 2yo 1m race TAEKWONDOH - managed to fly home to finish 6th in the Jockey club, given a poor ride, wont take part in the coronation cup given how she has been ridden the last 2 races.

Gas me up (4th) step up in trip needed
Wolf of silver(4th) ran a cracker with a penalty beaten a length lockinge bound on levels
TUESDAY
R11 innoculous (2nd) ran really well tied up on the line
R13 trypswytch(6th) drop in trip on the cards
R15 Countess of ayr(2nd) she won the race but a serious dodgy photo (hope it keeps nash happy)
R16 Power of possession (8th) didn't run a race again detatched half way strange ride yet again!
R17 Highway hitman(7th) back to 7f it is

Thought mine was given a bad ride but yours was detached even further back than mine still shellshocked put alot of work in on milers my horse was given no chance in fact jockey did opposite of his exported instructions violently pulled the horse i knew half way he was beat but what made me laugh was jockey pushed him 2 1/2 from home then brought him back on bridle stopped riding him stayed motionless then asked the impossible ah well onwards and upwards

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Can't watch races as no internet at the moment.
Megastar loves Ascot so not surprised he won. He will also stay 2m2 at Donny and could even get the Gold Cup in a slow run race.
Will update the others when the results go up on TOM.
Well done with Kingmambo.
