cheers crazyboy. i do use the ck alot tho!!when trialling for the current league all the horses i uploaded were the most consistent over x number of runs across a number of courses on varying grounds. the majority of my league squad are the best horses on my game as well though. for example the horse i wrote about before beats everything i have over a mile in the ck. is there any tips you can give on trialling horses in any specific way?
i was thinking about deleting all my horses which finish behind cream of the crop - this horse was my best runner in week 1, finishing eight (btw hackett, think i did worse than you haha!!!!). then surely by doing this id be improving the standard of my ck horses by constantly making the worst horse better??!!hope that makes sense.
i think i may be breeding wrong or something coz i am 40 seasons in - i usually breed great milers with great mile to 1m 4f horses. is it better to breed mile2f horses with sprinters?

Yes, I saw this when I was doing the commentating JC, but, the pace of the race was so fast that the taxis kept breaking down just inside the final furlong, it only happened six times though.

You make me laugh JC.
You must be one of the funniest and nicest people that I have ever known in my life.
Good luck with your horses in the league, it's the taking part that matters and not the winning.

I agree with you crazy but will make another important point...you must GELD all colts....If you new trainers look at jason, myself and crazy...We all geld...The problem being a new trainer is how to learn the CORRECT way to play as the elite trainers will not tell you all there secrets for obvious reasons....Thats my one and only tip otherwise i'll be shooting down the league!!..good luck all.....except the aussies....

Mwesty it's simple. Save the game in early to mid aug then geld the colts then control alt delete. Then go run the game. This will improve your game no end. Reason. Alot of horse u think are crap cos they come last and can't win a race will may beat your best in the ck. Help over. Now remember. Breed correctly and never skip seasoN. Sorry for errors I'm on a broken I phone.

so we GELD our colts, export them then ctrl alt delete and load the game back up and play with them as stallions and send them off to breed.
i feel like ive just been told theres a way to 'dope' our horses. i dont like doing things like that , its like cheating or something, like turning of football manager if you dont win the champs league final or something.
but if everyone else is doing it to get good league horses, IM DOING IT!!haha im gunna go snip th elot of them.
no excuse for my rubbish fillies tho ESA!!!can i not prise one more tip from you mr bin suroor?

In my point of view gelding is cheating, you dont geld horses that are straight and its an easy way out especially on this game to improve your horse by 15%.
Sorry but you'll never see me with a gelded horse, just don't agree with this technique and think many people are cheating the system personally.

i agree luke, i dont want to geld my horses and then turn the game off and back on so as to breed with them. but if thats what the top trainers do how can we not do it and hope to win any big races?!

I preety peed off that people are using this ctrl-alt-del method. I consider it cheating to force the game to close.
That's not playing fair IMO.
That's not playing the game how it is suppose to be played.
I geld my horses the normal way, it's part of the game to whether you decide to geld them or not.
This is way unfair......
This is not the way it is meant to be. There are other ways to be a top trainer and this doesn't sit with me well at all.
I guess it's pretty clear looking through people breeding lines who does it...

I think certain ways of playing have been mentioned before and had a pretty bad ending but yes in this case actually closing the game down and re loading does seem a little like cheating but then again l use Art Money so what can l say!!!!!

And yeas I have ONE horse that is a gelding in the league called The Champ, who through an actual crash of the game before all patches came out ended up as a stallion in the game.
I'm NOT saying anyone is a cheat atm, cos there is NO rule against it im guessing. It's perfectly legal.
BUT imo it should be looked at. I don't think I'm the only one who is not happy about it...

mwesty1 why do u need art money? i started a game on easy and after 10 seasons had millions. i have 370 million now so can buy everything anyway. u dont need it.
anyway this ctrl alt del thing is completley different. it is cheating but what can we do??? if thats how u win races in the league we r all going to have to do it!! i do feel a bit peeved that ive spent countless hours playing the game in the proper way, only to find out my horses arent good enough because i havnt been using this 'technique'.

I disagree with what has been said (as usual) Gelding USED to improve your horses by at least 1l in SO2. In SO3/SO4 it does not improve them. Gelding them simply rules out the chance of them getting stirred up.
I do however for future seasons think to make this league even more realistic maybe ban this? Obviously we can't do it now but it would be something for next season.
For all members that throw the word cheat around straight away. It doesn't make your horses better.
