for me the highlight of the entire season is the cheltenham festival!!

but so far, 7 weeks in, of all the races i have watched this royal ascot week is the best by an absolute mile!!

great work these are nick, u shud put an accumulator on all of your selections and if you win you should not only win shit loads of virtual money but you shud be knighted

Lol I doubt it considering I'm third bottom of the tipster table lol!! Cheltenham is my highlight as well but Ascot is not far behind along with Aintree, Punchestown and Dubai...cannot wait for friday, seems so far away, hope it hurries up means the races, a week closer to getting home for christmas and a week closer to cheltenham lol!!

Some more races coming up.....

Ribblesdale Stakes Group 2 Females Only 1m4f 3yo+

Interesting race with 8 of the top 10 from the oaks reopposing. I think to
look for the winner in this race you have to look at horses placed 2nd-6th
from that race. Ones that didn't run in the Oaks include BIBIBEG who ran well in maidens before finally getting off the mark, but 3rd at sandown lto suggests probably not good enough. ZEE ZEE JAMARE is another that didn't run at Epsom but has been consistent without a win which is probably not strong enough here. AMYS finished 6th
in the Oaks but after an impressive maiden win 1st time out a more solid test may prove a bit better suited. OH SO SHARP is the apple of Joe Gorman's eye and despite millions being plunged on her to win the Oaks she could only manage 5th. Despite that can hack it with the big girls and deserves every chance here. NIGELLA was a well placed 4th in the oaks from veteran trainer Padraig Hogan's yard and cannot be dismissed but early form says it might be best to look elsewhere.
JEUNE and GOLDEN COAT were 2nd and 3rd at Epsom and will head the market here. Both consistent top class runners looking for a win here without Merlene involved. Despite JEUNE winning in ireland this could be close and GOLDEN COAT will deserve the win.

My Prediction
1: GOLDEN COAT
2: JEUNE
3: AMYS

G1 penalties are indeed applied, Golden Coat and Jeune I think will have to carry 4lbs more

Ascot Gold Cup 2m4f 3yo+ G1

One of the real big events here at ascot over 2m4f...Won by some greats such as Coastal Path & Dark Duet....We'll start with BETTER GAMBLE who was 3rd at the Curragh but otherwise has disappointed but has staying doubts. DAME ALICIA is one of the only winners in the race but that was over 2 miles and there are severe staying reservations on other form. HIGH VOLUME represents the inform
Davy Robertson yard who was behind MILLENIUM MEPHISTO last time and think the same might happen here, interesting as to why this horse has showed up and not Jupiters Trail. JOHNNY CORLEONE is the best horse to come out of Nick Driver's yard since Kings Of Albion who was second in this 3 seasons ago. Ground and Trip are massive plus signs but will have to shrug off the attentions of MILLENIUM MEPHISTO to win this. The ongoing rivalry has gone back and forth like a tug of war with both horses taking a win over the other and both trainers extremly bullish about their chances. MY PETRA was 6th behind a few of these and ground reservations mean it could possibly stay that way. NEWS KING has been extremely consistent for NH trainer Dave Hooley and has obviously been aimed towards this race, expect a bold showing
PRAISE ITALIA & TYPHOON TILLY are relatively unexposed and untried sorts but ratings suggest they will have something to do to win this. JOHNNY CORLEONE is the joint top rated horse in the field but stamina doubts against DAME ALICIA and ground doubts about some of the others mean trainer Nick Driver may finally take home the prize he has longed for after the disappointment of season 9

My Prediction
1: JOHNNY CORLEONE
2: MILLENIUM MEPHISTO
3: NEWS KING

Sorry Stevie had to do it, hate talking about myself in the 3rd person...sounds wrong lol! My only chance at Ascot so thought i'd make myself feel better, have a funny feeling good to soft might not be enough, if it was soft or heavy i'd be much, much more confident but I do all my trailing at ascot so got to hope!

BIAS TO JOHNNY!!!

Great preview btw my friend! I keep looking through for mentions of my horses, I got 2 - YES! (though 1 was a no chancer). Good old Sammy Bear, named after the better half. Daren't tell her I named one after her, though they do bare a canny resemblence

Just like to add the odds are up for all races this week. For each interleague race, i've doubled price of a selection in each to add fuel to the fire, the ones I think will get beaten.

Also, add more fuel on the fire - Oh So Sharp... 12/1 out to 25s!!!

dont worry, the ground is a concern, is very good on good or better. jockey has to have her closer to the pace on softer so i hope he does. if she gets to the front with 2f to go she wont be passed.
fingers crossed.
awful ride on yours last time out much better expected this time.

It was supposed to be Student Riot, but I have the knack of missing out a letter here and there when naming my horses, pressing enter unawares, and you get names like Student Rit
