STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 5A week which was dominated by 'the big two' stables in the league as Midnight Valley Stables continued their ruthless vein of form in the league so far adding another 7 winners to their totally, amassing another (72) points to add to their total. In second position this week was Hemsworth Town with 6 winners and (56) points, but the deficit at the top between the two stretches to 26 points.
Special mentions this week to David Hooley and Donny Stables who despite not getting a winning chalked up (30) points this week. Moliets Breeders who bagged their first winner ever in the online league, and also to Anadin who's La Zarzuela got their first winner of the season!
BONUS RACES WEEK 5 ROUNDUPThe first of the two bonus races this week went to Karoo Stables as
PRESTIGIOUS absolutely bolted up in the London National Handicap Chase. Settled towards the rear early, she made ground to readily quicken past her field and won very easily at the end of her race. She picked up a very welcome 10 points for her stable!
The second bonus race was the December Gold Cup Handicap Chase, which went to
SPECIAL DAY for Timmergreens Stables who put in a gritty display after taking the lead two furlongs from home. Donal Fahy got a tune out of the Davy Robertson trained mare, and she heads for the Victor Chandler Hurdle in Week 6 next.
CHAMPION CROWNS WEEK 5 ROUNDUPThe John Scatters trained
ANALON successfully won the second leg of the Champion Bumper Crown with an exceptional performance to see off the Jamie Taylor trained Modern Soul (with 5.5L back to third). She now heads to the Cheltenham Bumper at Cheltenham Festival for the third leg of her defence!
The first leg of the Champion Chaser Crown went to the Midnight Valley trained
HURRICANE SOUL who returned to winning ways after falling on her most recent start. She put in an imperious performance to run down Chosen One over the last flight, and quickened away in style to score a cosy victory. She now heads to the Dial A Bet Chase in Week 6, for the second leg of the crown.
The second leg of the Staying Hurdler Crown went to
EIGHT STAR for Reddis Park and John Scatters, and his colt saw off the Slievenamon Stables trained Warrior who was looking to carry the sequence on to the holy grail here, but sadly failed.
The first leg of the National Chaser Crown went to
PRESTIGIOUS for Karoo Stables who absolutely hacked up.
