Race 27 -- Hardwicke Stakes -- £210000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 1m4f -- Group 2 -- Open -- 4+ -- Good

Ak Kraven - Newcomer for up and coming trainer, worth watching on 1st run
Conventional - Another newcomer and watching brief.
Cordillera Brian - Yet another newcomer in such a tough G2.
Corinthian Lad - Didn't show much in maiden's but rattled home to win the Qipco handicap and certainly deserves his place here.
Diamondee Thug - Yet to finish outside of the top 3 up to G2 level and certainly will be in the mix at the end here.
Fatal Zeo - Big step up in trip but go the class with a 3rd in the Suffolk and 7th in the Dubai World Cup. More improvement needed though.
Hallucinations - Showed top form in maiden company before struggling in a really tough listed race last time out. Could run well.
Musical Bliss - Has the best form in the book clearly with a G2 win and a 2nd in the Coronation Cup. Comes here in good form and should run a good race.
Oreense - Running really good races around 2 miles so it is a puzzle as to why the horse is dropping all the way back to 1m4f, I don't think the trip will suit.
Over The River - Newcomer
Quick Du - Newcomer
Shredding Meshaheer - Newcomer
Shut Eye - Won a handicap over 14f in 0-85 class which was a good win but needs much more improvement.
Tiger Sue - Newcomer

I think 3 horses are clear on form lines but Musical Bliss has the solid group form in the book and should win with a bit in hand, Diamondee Thug will be consistent and place once again and Hallucinations should sneak 3rd, don't write out Fatal Zeo or Corinthian Lad either.

1st - Musical Bliss
2nd - Diamondee Thug
3rd - Hallucinations

Race 28 -- Diamond Jubilee -- £500000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 6f -- Group 1 -- Open -- 3+ -- Good

Anka - Won the listed Cecil Frail stakes very well from the front and deserves his place here, needs to make the step up to group company.
Commander Power - 2 solid pieces of form in listed company winning and placing. Couldn't get to Anka last time out and needs to improve as well for the step up.
Distance - Consistent sort which finally got on top last time out and did it when it mattered in the G2 Duke Of York which is one of the best pieces of form in the race.
Instillation - Disappointed when expected to do so much more but still has that group form in the book and certainly ready to run another big race.
Khoisan - Won the Victoria Cup in fine style and a good 4th latest, might struggle for speed at this level though.
Play The Game - 2 good 2nd's in maiden and handicap company but not stepped up to the mark when running in group company.
Sir Mad Brian - Won a championship qualifier over 5f but again like Play The Game struggled at the highest level.

An interesting affair with plenty of intertwined form between the top 4, Distance has the best form but has been beaten by Commander Power who was beaten by Anka but DISTANCE has the best consistency so we know he'll run a monster race, it'll be very close between Anka, Commander Power and Instillation for the places.

1st - Distance
2nd - Commander Power
3rd - Instillation

Race 29 -- Wokingham Handicap -- £150000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 6f -- 0-110 -- Open -- 3+ -- Good

Valencia - Good solid performances in group and handicap company, his 4th in the Qatar handicap is good enough to be up there here but could be too high in hcap.
Sir Power - 2 impressive races with the best coming when winning well in 0-100 class last time out, been punished by the handicapper but still improving.
Llandrinod Wells - Been running consistently in behind the principles in group races, first time over the trip but stepping down in class so worth keeping an eye on.
Warrington - Won a 5f handicap in 0-90 class but yet to run over 6f and needs to continue to improve on that run.
Virakip Swift - Yet to make any real impact in handicaps and probably too high in the weights to make an impact.
Shrimper Phil - Been very consistent over 5f in reasonable handicaps and off a good mark, if transferring that form to 6f will have a big chance.
Mainland Whitney - Showed improvement when 4th in 0-90 level but will need to improve more on that.
Best Buddy - Ultra-consistent but been going down the classes and not improving, will be there at the end again I'd expect.
Fashion House - 2nd at 0-90 level was an excellent run and deserves to be here but needs a lot more improvement.
Townsville - Running very consistently at 0-100 level before winning well at 0-90 level. Better handicapped than a lot of these and could go close.
Bahamian Class - Solid type for Vinny Gerrard who failed to make an impact going up in trip but I'm sure the trip will suit.
Bomber Miss - Yet to pull up any trees with any run but well handicapped.
V Saeson - Been running over much further and it's tough to say whether the step down will suit.
Silkcut - made all in a 0-90 over 5f and likes to make the pace but that may not suit in this sort of race as proved by the run in the Qipco hcap.
Universal Birth - Ran a huge race when 5th in maiden company but struggled since the step up may not suit.
Abcott - Yet to finish inside the top 10 and may have to wait for a lower class race.
Dream Art - Been running well at handicap level and I think he's extremely well handicapped, even if he doesn't go close here worth following.
Abbey Park Li - Been struggling to get close so far in handicap company and may find the same problems here.

A very tight Wokingham as expected, Dream Art is potentially the best handicapped horse in the race closely followed by Townsville. Shrimper Phil has been running well and Sir Power and Llandrinod Wells will also run big races. I think DREAM ART is just too well handicapped to ignore and could run a big race.

1st - Dream Art
2nd - Llandrinod Wells
3rd - Sir Power
4th - Townsville

Race 30 -- Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap -- £75000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 1m6f -- 0-90 -- Open -- 3+ -- Good

All Through The Night - Stepping down markedly in class after running ok in maiden races and a good 8th in a very tough Esher Stakes.
Mr Dream Maker - Won in this class over 2 miles but struggled with the step up last time. Good maiden form and could run a good race.
Monmouthshire Bregawn - Another horse dropping into 0-90 company for the first time but may need to slip down the handicap a bit more.
Roots Hall - Won well at 0-85 level over the trip, done well dropping down to 12f so go the pace and will clearly stay. Big chance.
Du Andiamo - Ran very well in 0-100 level when 2nd but not shown much when stepping down to this trip, could be a interesting horse in the race.
Ergo Proxy - Yet to really put in any special performances and probably needs to slip down the handicap a bit more.
Diana Moon - Been running excellent races in 0-85 company and done well for his trainer. Got to have a chance here.
Sonic Lady - Done well when 3rd over a mile but struggled dropping down in trip, this is probably a tad too short.
The Grenadines - 1 good piece of form over the trip in 0-85 level, needs to improve but on a good mark.

Another competitive race as expected at Royal Ascot and plenty in with chances. ROOTS HALL has been running exceptionally well and has all the assets to win a race like this. All Through The Night and Monmouthshire Bregawn will run well dropping down in class and expect Diana Moon B and Sonic Lady to have a chance too.

1st - Roots Hall
2nd - All Through The Night
3rd - Diana Moon B

Race 31 -- Queen Alexandra -- £60000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 2m5.5f -- Listed -- Open -- 3+ -- Good

Andiamo Bussa - Good run over 17f in 0-100 company and running well but the trip may be an issue.
April Fools - Newcomer
Armoured Bay Beast - Newcomer
Brinmore - Newcomer
Captain Ice - Newcomer
Charmer - Newcomer
Game Of War - Won a good race last time out when winning over 17f, yet to run a marathon trip so doubts about that but cannot rule out considering the trainer.
Raggal - Ran some good races and more importantly has the form in the book, got to have a huge chance of this wait.
Ranpo Kitan - Been running over much shorter than this trip and severe stamina doubts.
Satwa Russeliana - Been running consistently although another who is taking a pot shot at having the stamina stay.
Streetcar Kilcrea - Newcomer
Tarayn Signalman Li - Been running to a very high standard over 2 miles, clearly a quality animal but can he stay an extra 5 and a half furlongs?
Yeats - Newcomer
Ze Lawnmower - The highest rated horse in the race and clearly one of the best stayers in training but again, is he good enough to stay another 5 and a half furlongs?

With most of the main horses over 2m4f going to the Gold Cup this is an open race with a lot of horses that may have doubts over stamina. Ze Lawnmower and Tarayn Signalman Li are the highest rated but yet to run over 2m. RAGGAL is one of the only horses in the race certain to get the trip and gets the vote. Game Of War could be an interesting contender too.

1st - Raggal
2nd - Game Of War
3rd - Tarayn Signalman Li

Race 32 -- Ascot Commonwealth Cup -- £400000 -- Ascot -- Flat -- 6f -- Group 1 -- Open -- 3YO -- Good

Abseil - Been running well in good company with a solid 2nd last time out in Listed company, needs to improve once again to win.
Commanding - Versatile type who won over 7f while running well over 5f, still needs to improve on form over 6f.
Frederick - Solid 3rd in the Golden Shaheen is one of the best pieces of form but still needs to improve on that.
Nettlebush - Running consistently but yet to break the top 6 in 4 attempts and must improve markedly.
Northern Spanish - Best run came when 3rd in listed company over the trip, plenty to find with the 5 others in the race though.
Sturnish - Clearly the best horse in the race and only failed in Group 1 company when 2nd. Needs to prove that he's good enough over 6f.

STURNISH is the best horse in the race and is clearly good enough for this standard but the trip is the only question mark. Frederick should run his race too and Abseil should go close too.

1st - Sturnish
2nd - Frederick
3rd - Abseil

Unreal work Nick, this is the kind of stuff that keeps trainers like me who only had a couple of months of breeding prep time before the league, interested. Adds a lot to the trainers like us running in handicaps, but still seeing someone writing about our horses :)

Excellent work!!

Vinny
