Thanks for that 17days. Now we don't have an alternative website. Can't see any reviews on TOM!, reckon that website would have put TOM in the shade. I don't blame Steve for his reply, some people just have to shove their oar in where it isn't wanted. $^$*head. Great first post! Do yourself and everyone else a favour and don't post again.

Before this gets out of hand I completely agree with lakewood, steve your stuff is great and adds a hell of a lot to the league, this was only a first post from someone who is uncertain how things work as regards to the website & TOM!! The banter is great and your work is great steve so lets not get into the old arguments from the past and look forward to the new league!

I know simmer down, you anawl rivers, ure the last person to be diggin up ppl for causing trouble lol and im probably second last

But hes just asking a a fair question, why are ppl sending in there stable details when all there horses are up on tom.

Obviously he hasnt seen the newsletter and all the extra info like trainer comments and odds that will be in there. I dont think he meant to offend anyone. I also hope you keep at it steve, it is appreciated and a good read.

yeh i think 17days is obviously unaware of the newsletter and the upcoming website steve, i dont think he was implying that they were pointless or anything like that. i remember when i first joined last season i didnt understand what yuku was or why people referred to that site when so4 stuff was on this forum. i think it was just a comment that sounded bad and actually was just due to a lack of knowledge.

17days - last season steve produced some newsletters to review the action of each week in the league, i think i may have one or two still if you want to see what they were like. really added a lot to the league and the website is basically a development of the newsletter to incorporate even more information and banter. it looks great

Hi all

Maybe I'm missing something here  .
But we dont need to send the information of our stabes because on TOM, when you click on other stables, we can all see other horses from other stables.

Matt

Yes thats true but by doing this you do get the chance to do a write up on each one and see what horses to look out for from each trainers stable, when the betting gets going you want to have a little information to hand, its a good idea to get the new trainers introduced and involved as well. By looking at TOM what does it tell you that trainer A has got horses named XXXX, YYYYY, ZZZZ. This adds to the enjoyment of the league specialy when we all laugh at the odds of 40/1 given to me to win the trainers championship should be 1/2 in my opinion.

Hi Supercat,

I will not be continuing with this website.

Steve

Just so everyone knows - I will not be involved in the running of any future leagues as I have decided to put together a racing website for close friends and family to share in my betfair betting operation. I want to devote much of my time to this venture.

Best of luck to everyone for the seasons ahead.

What a shame Steve, it looked really good. Surely it wasn't just because one new member didn't understand the website. Good luck with your new one. I'd be really interested to have a look at it.

Catherine.

Hi Supercat,

On reflection TOM probably does hold some great information.
More people are writing reviews and the community is improving which is all I was trying to achieve anyway.
The new betting site is three months away at least and I hope to have it fully operational for the start of the 2012 turf flat season.
Anyone wishing to use it can do so free for one year.
I won't be putting the web address on this forum but I have your e-mail address and will be in touch in time if you want.
Anyone else interested send me an e-mail.

Regards

Steve
