Hi Gray

I would like to do some commentaries on the flat or over the sticks.

What do I need to do?

I have recording software that makes Windows Media Audio Files.

Maybe have a practice with some races first.

Great thanks Steve only Doug did them this week I should have your e-mail somewhere I will send you a link to Dropbox for the races folders and coms folder these are where the completed races are kept if you can have a chat with Doug and Mike amongst yourselves to sort out whos doing what I think Doug did evens and Mike the odd numbers I don't know if Mike was busy last week but day 3 races are short on coms just 1 on the flat and 1 on the jumps so the more coms we get the better the league.

Just to let you know Steve I put two races in the folder F1-10 the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas in the races folder so you can have a practice.

Hi Steve

Good :-)

Ok I am certain that Mike is busy again this weekend but I do know he wants to call the big American races so we'll leave them for Mike.
Gray - can you leave the videos for the American race/s in dropbox for as long as possible please.

How many races do you think you can do, Steve?
If you can look after the last day and maybe do a few over the first 2 days, that might work out well :-)

Anyway, let's chat and work it all out.

My big tip is to practice calling along to some of last weekends races (flat and jumps) and before you record each race, say out loud the names of each runner :-)

Put me down for day three on the flat to start with.

Need to get my head around things and make sure the commentary fits the picture.

Once I am okay with it will maybe add a few jumps races.

Gray,

Could you send me all the races next week, and I will have a go at as many as possible - thanks.

Doug,

Could you list which races you and Mike are doing then I don't duplicate yours.

Thanks for the tips.

I'd be up for bringing my dulcet geordie tones to some commentaries if there any available. Think the commentaries add alot to the league.

Gray,

I have sent you a commentary for race 12 on the flat.

Could you upload with the race to see if all is well.

Thanks

Steve

I'll be gone this weekend again (these conventions are really piling up...) but will return full time next week. I know I'll be gone again the weekend of the Lockinge (in real life... I'll be at Newbury for the race) as well as the second weekend of June. But I'll be around for the rest of the calls. I'll be posting a link in the Dropbox folder Coms to a Google spreadsheet that you can add in what races you want to do that week; since we have a lot of callers now, it might be better then the previous system.

Great to have so many aboard! Really adds a lot to the league.

Hmmm, just tried to have a bit of a practice on this weeks racing and when i use Windows movie maker, the horses names during the race are too blurry to read.

Steve, Doug & MJ what programmes do use? any recommendations?

Cheers.

You may need to save it in 1080 HD mart then try and see it in Movie Maker.
