Post Novices in Open races
Hi

I have 2 novice horses with no suitable novice races available. If I enter them in open races do they lose novice status or can they still run in novice races in later weeks?

I'm pretty sure the only other races they will be eligible for are non graded/listed handicaps

Follis is right, but it doesn't lose it's novice status.

I won a h'cap with a novice this week in Chomba Womba.

You are right, it was a listed handicap not an open race I was looking at.
