The is a chance that I will be running some of Wednesdays races at Flemington. I just did a quick conversion and the distance in furlongs is not quite an exact match for the distances in metres. The Melbourne Cup is listed as 2 miles which is 3218 metres. The race would have to be run over 3200 metres. Is there any objections to a slightly shorter race? The same distance adjustments woild have to be made for the other Australian races. |

The left button goes to the races, the right button quits from game. When you select the middle button there is an option to change to metres. This is a distance conversion table. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=furlo ... 8geQ-ZfYCQ |

I always thought it was 200 metres to a furlong not 201.168 ![]() Plus u cant have 1m5.5F it would have to be run over1m6. |

According to the conversion tool mentioned above, 1m 5.5f is approx 2700 metres, so set the race as a 2600m race and select the 1\2 option next to the distance indicator. This gives you 2700m. |

I thought 200m was 1 furlong as well. They still say the Melb Cup is 2 miles - I guess they just over look the extra few metres lol Anyway if you can both convert to metres that would be cool ![]() |
