Last season some users complained about a couple of users dominating the league, saying that they have the gene and there was no chance of anyone catching them.

Now that Paul and Leon have the "good genes" in their stable, will the rest of the trainers be able to bridge the gap?

You two need to hug it out :)

Not that I am advocating anything of the sort with COVID running amok.

If I could bring myself to play combined and take on the added faff of having to train them both ways it would be the best way to get both I think.

I was advised that the combined game is the way to go. Not that I've tried it but it might be worth a shot.

I only have the one game which is combined and works well enough for me. No restarting etc. The problems I had like bad 3yos and 2 mile chasers I have started to resolve and should have better come league time without having to start a new game

It just messes with my ocd I like focus on one or the other not both. Even on SO6 I used to keep them in two separate games, where the tff was useful and I only played combined to get the 1yo training option.

I may bite the bullet at some point as it think it would solve some of the limitations of single style games.

Combined game is for sure the way to go. But you can still improve I'm sure with a flat/jumps only game.

Let your top CK horses breed with the AI mares.

Agree with this. If you don't let the ai breed with yours the ai stock will fall behind and you will get stuck. If the ai keeps improving so will you. Reduce the fee to anything between 20000 and 50000. Not too low as you don't want the ai to only breed with yours.

Just be warned there is a lot of tedious clicking to agree to the pairings. Wish there was a button to accept all requests

I have been doing this on the flat for a while, cannot say I have seen much difference as of yet. On the jumps am I now changing the way I play the game to ensure my stud horses have some G1 pedigree, they do not breed with them even at £1 when they have little form to speak of. The wall has been less noticable on the jumps as the AI still has some nice types coming through, decendents of the previous nice types, its been solid on the flat for a long time now.

I have been wondering for a while now.
Has anyone ever seen a foal produce a higher attribute than the parents in the new breeding model.
For example Potential, can a 80% mare and a 85% Stallion produce a foal with 90%?

If not then it would seem inevitable that over time that all stats would average down.

Yes for me too, on all stats but it is very rare and for the most part averaging down is more common.

Not sure he'll be a monster CK horse but his family are certainly monster in game horses . Desert Orchids mum was unbeaten in 9 chase races and and dessie was unbeaten in 12 .
