Post SO7 Season 2 - Stable Tour Flat
Here is a run down of some of my new recruits for the upcoming SO7 season 2. Slight changes could be made before nominations close on Friday.

Good luck to all in the league this season. Will be very competitive from start to finish.

2yo Horses

Arwen Undomiel 2yoF (5/6f+) - Versatile 2yo in regards to trips and ground types. Will stay around the 5/6f trips and will step up slightly to 7f later on in the season. Potentially group class.

Passive Fire 2yoC (6f) - New addition to my team and has been performing very well in my trails. Not as versatile as Arwen Undomiel. Will stick around the 6f trips and should pick up some group races.

Sleepy Ending 2yoF (7/1m) - I had some very good 2yo last season who won G1 races. I'll be disappointed if this filly who is held in such high regard at home doesn't win some top races throughout the season.

Sequel Eclipse 2yoF (7/1m1f) - Nearly completed a double in the trails. I'm in two minds on whether to put her in as a 6yo 1m2f horse. Either way I think she will pick up G1's as a 2yo or a 6yo. The prize money on offer is kind of swaying me towards the 6yo. But I love a juvenile and she is one of my best.

3yo Horses

Shaun O Connor 3yoC (5/6F) - Very new to the CK and my best 5f 3yo by someway. He can smash some of my older horses over the minimum trip. Will be my only 3yo sprinter in my team this season. I believe I've some very good older horses who are just in a different class to the younger generation. Looking forward to seeing if my trails are correct. He could be anything!!

Grovey Project 3yoF (1m) - If my trails and times are anything to go by she is a top class filly. Has so much speed but stays a mile very well. Her targets for the season will be the 1000 Guineas and then she will step up against her elders. She's definitely one of my favorite horses in my team and I'll be disappointed if she doesn't turn out to be G1 class.

Golden Encore 3yoF (1m/1m2f) - Probably had another 5+ 3yo fillies I could have choice for this season who I believe are up to group level class. But I've gone with this versatile filly who has the speed for a mile but also performs very well over 1m2. She seems to love 1m1f the best in my trails so week 1 race is a perfect stepping stone into better races later in the season.

Dawn Arisen 3yoC (1m/1m4f) - He's by one of my best horses (ISENGARD) I've seen in my trails and he's an even better stallion who as produced some of my best league horses. But unfortunately his offspring are better than him. Will be aimed at the classics over 1m and then stepped up to 1m2 for the French classic. His offspring are looking very exciting but won't have the time to see any on the racecourse this league season.

Inverted Appeal 3yoC (1m) - Practically unbeatable in my game over a mile and transferred that to CK form. He's a talented 3yo Colt who I should have plenty of fun with this season. 1m classics will be the aim. Not sure he has the class to compete with my older milers. He's just entered the breeding barn now and he could turn out to be a very good stallion. Will mix a lot of broodmares with him over a variety of distances.

Trojan Attack 3yoC (1m4f/2m1f) - Ran a solid race in the trails and I've still not got to the bottom of his ideal trip yet. He seems to be very adept at multiple trips from 1m4f up to 2m+ hence why I've entered his distance at 1m6f. He has so much ability at home and I hope he can show that this season in the league. First targets will be the middle distance classics, he runs okay at Epsom but the Irish he comes alive. St Leger would be ideal for him and then seeing how he performs over more testing trips.

Speedyfix Regarded 3yoC (1m3f) - The sole purpose of this horse is to try and win the English Derby. He seems to be a machine at Epsom and only at Epsom. Which I kind of think is it worth wasting a horse to try and win one race throughout the season. I may reconsider and change him out for a more consistent horse who has the potential to win races at multiple courses.

Jupiter Rain 3yoF (1m4f) - Very well bred filly by Speedyfix Regarded out of my 2yo Sleepy Ending. She does have a touch of class about her and I'm hopeful of a massive run in the middle distance classics at Epsom and the Curragh. Looking forward to her offspring which I hope will help me get better 1m4f horses. Been a real struggle improving them over the last few months.

Avondale Road 3yoF (1m4f) - Just behind Jupiter Rain but not by much and she can occasionally blow her away. Likes to come with a power pack finish which can get her in trouble if too far adrift. Still having both in the same race gives me great chances of some classic wins this season. Flat league never used to interest me but I've some serious talent for this season and could have my best ever season in the league.

4yo+ Horses

Snurge Council 6yoH (6/7f) - Honestly love this horse to bits. No matter what comes into the CK he just destroys them on firmer or good ground. His guts and willingness to win is something I've never seen before in a racehorse. He will contest all the top G1 sprint races throughout the season and I'm so excited to see what he can do. I do have one slightly better than him on softer ground.

Moheli Katrina 6yoM (5/6f) - Ultra tough and very consistent sprint mare. She is awesome on soft ground and can even win some of my 5f races, but preference is 6f. Like Snurge Council she will be aimed at all the top sprint races throughout the season and if the ground comes up soft will be a major player.

Dangerous Florale 7yoM (5f) - Not sure whether to drop her from my team and use my 3yo now who beats her often. Maybe I'll keep her until the upload and replace her then. Got plenty of speed and is a 5f specialist.

Coded Pass 7yoH (7/1m1f) - Class act on his day and I expect him to show up well in G1 races over a mile this season. I've better at home but not as consistent as this fellow, who's good on most ground types. Will more than likely put in another miler before the season kicks off. I've Grovey Project to take on the older horses later in the season.

Backdoor Hack 4yoF (1m1/1m3f) - Another one of those rare in game horses who won everything over multiple seasons and transformed to CK form. It's an unknown question mark over her to be honest. I believe she's the ability to be top class. Shame I never got the chance to trail her beforehand. Picks up late in her races but stays on stoutly and has real tenacity.

Danderry Note 4yoC (1m1/1m2f) - Showed in the trails I have some decent 1m2f horses which I didn't believe I had. Still deciding if to race him as a 3yo as I believe I've found a better one over this trip. Will do some more trails and decide Friday. What he does need is firmer ground to be at his best.

Social Gathering 6yoH (1m1/1m3f) - My new 1m2f horse who is showing some awesome performances in my CK. He seems capable on any surface or ground type and should have a great season with him. He's by my Top Stallion ISENGARD and it seems a lot of his offspring are late maturing types, but he can produce some fine 2yo, 3yo as well.

Untold Desires 6yoF (1m2/1m5f) - Another one of those horses who I loved racing in the game and won just about every top class race as a 2yo, 3yo, 4yo+ and even went on to win a Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase but sadly wasn't up to NH class but seems to be very effective on the flat. Excited and looking forward to her racing. You definitely get attached to some horses and this one I've a soft spot for.

IIursoria Bower 6yoM (1m3/1m5f) - Been performing quite well in my trails. It's one area I'm not sure what to expect come league time against other trainers horses over this distance. She has class in my trails and I need some horses over this trip. Let's see what happens.

Dazakhee Loma 7yoM (1m3/1m6f) - Only exported her this week and showed to be very talented albeit frustrating at the same time. She leaves it very late and I'm slightly worried that my CK trails could be wrong with this one. Will do some more trails and testing over the middle distance trips.

Rudruth Skye 7yoM (2m/2m4f) - What she does in my trails is amazing, but what she did in the trail days wasn't that great. I have to give her a 2nd chance and see if she can perform better. Just a feeling she could be one of those horses who doesn't like the league format compared to CK.

Arthurz Pass 6yoC (2m1/2m4f) - Was a seriously talented stayer in my game and transformed that into the CK. Don't have many stayers and not an area I've had the chance to focus on much leading up to this season. He's now in the breeding barn and hopefully he can pass on his ability and CK form to his offspring.

Post Re: SO7 Season 2 - Stable Tour Flat
Flat

I won the betting competition giving me an extra stable slot which I have used in my flat team

My flat stable is made of mainly older horses. My 2yo's are versatile and should be off the pace. My 3yo's have come on a lot and I should be more competive than last season. But like last season the bulk of my wins will come from my older horses.

Older Horses
These are the stars of my stable and are many lengths better, in most cases, than anything I have under the age of 5. I have improved everwhere although maybe not enough over a mile. My strongest horses are at 10 and 12f.

2m- 2m4f
Dragon Keeper (1m6-2m4f), 8yo stallion, Political Intrigue-Lateral Thinking, Soft
Retruning multiple G1 winner from last season including Melbourne and Goodwood Cups. Even better at 8 and best over 2 miles. He carried top weight to victory in the Mebounre Cup and returns to try do it again. Never been done in the league and will be remarkable if he can do it

Prometheus (2m4f), 6yo stallion, Wicked Game-Pharenna Nook, Good
Out and stayer who probably needs 2m4. Have found taht the ones that can stay but want shorter just can't seem to win the gold cup so trying something diffeent this season. Dam was game mare bred from my stallion that I bought.

2m
Guess Again, (2m), 6yo stallion, Steadfast-Replica, Good
Brilliant in game and peaked at 6. Will be going to Dubai in week 1 but course probably not ideal. Will be strong through the season though.

1m4-1m6

Land of Marvels, (12f-14f) 7yo mare, Blood Harvest-Brother in Arms, Good
Bred in the purple. Dam won the arc in the league. Sire won the Sheema in the league. Both sire and dam were multiple group 1 winning league horse. She won her trial over 12f. Is probably better over 14f but gives me nice options.

Ich Tu Dir Weh, (12f-14f), 6yo stallion, Mayor of Simpleton-Another Love, Firm
Sire Mayor of Simpleton ( In league team ) has taken my horses to another level. Especially my 3yos. Comes from last and finishes very fast. Hard to beat on firm ground but not so good on soft

Queen of Night, (12f), 6yo mare, King at Night-Animal Instinct, Good
Impressive winner of her trial. Coming 12 wide from last and wining going away. Will need luck in running but if she gets the gaps will be right there.

Roman Ghost, (12f), 6yo Stallion, Voodoo Idol-Stans Diament, Firm
I bought the dam at age 16 and she has givem me amazing front running lines. Was a monster in game on the flat but at stud has proven to be an incredible sire of chasers. Takes up the extra spot and is probably in to set the pace as some of mine will need a fast pace.

9-10f
Door to Door, 10f, 7yo mare, Dance Like Fire-Penny Lane, Soft
Dam won the triple crown in game. She never won a race on the flat although that is probably because she was chasing where she won 6 group 1 chases. Sadly she doesn't trial well over 2 miles chase. races handy but best with a strong pace.

Room for Mistakes, 10f, 7yo mare, King at Night-Animal Instinct, Soft
Full brother to Queen of Night. Runs the same way and will come from last but just as explosive as Endless Nights. Will be right ther at finish but hostage to tarffic issues

Jenniffer Juniper, 9-10f, 6yo mare, Dance Like Fire-Stans Diamant, Firm
Another of the 3 in my team from the same ai mare. Strong front runner and hard to catch on the quicker courses. Will ensure there is pace for my other 10f horses. Best on firm ground

Animation Parade, 9f, 6yo mare, Tuff Enuff-Freedom Rock, Good
9f specialist but there are enoug races for her and can get either a mile or 10f on some courses so gives me options.

7-8f
Gypsey Train, 7-9f, 6yo stallion, Greyfrairs Plessis-Animal Instinct, Soft
Probably my best 3yo at Nemarket but not so good elsewhere that changes when he gets older as becomes more versatile. Should give a good account.

Alignment Tapestry, 6-8f, 6yo stallion, Road to Joy-Westmead Jane, Good
Bought at sales. Sire is mine but was bred to from the ai. Multiple G1 winner in game but peaked at 6. Amazing how the ai can move you forward again in a distance that had started stagnating. She is also a Group 1 winning 2 mile chaser

Sprinters
All 3 my sprinters are brillaint in game but but in ck 2 mile chasers. I would love for even one of them to trial well at 2 miles chase but sadly that's not the case. I have 5 2 mile chasers in my flat team. Very strange.
Mit Dem Wind, 6-7f, 6yo mare, Wish Twister-Winter Rose, Firm
Hurdle bred. Parents never won a flat race between them and both were soft ground horses so the firm ground was a bit annoying. Turned into a monster 2 mile chaser but as per normal in my game trialed badly but proved a revelation over 6f. Very quick especially on firm ground. Not so good when ground is soft though.

Solidfy, 6f 7yo stallion, Greyfriars Plessis-Righteous Path, Good
Has never won a race on the flat. Multiple group 1 chaser though. Have just discovered he can sprint so is ready to go sprinting in my game. Ai sire was a monster sprinter. Hope he can challenge Vinny's monsters.

All that Glitters, 5f, Roman Ghost-Life in Balance, Good
Another good in game failed in CK 2 mile chaser but not complaining as a length or 2 better than private revolution who won the 5f trial. Expecting to be competitiv in the G1s

3yo's
I have made vast improvement with my 3yos recently mainly thanks to Mayor of Simpleton

1m4f
Fight without Fear, 12f, 3yo colt, Mayor of Simpleton-Securon Saxony, Firm
Dam was bough at a broodmare sale. Doesn't need firm ground to be effective. Loves the Curragh and might go close in the Irish Derby. Coming from last will need some luck in running but times at Epsom are amazing.

Move with Me, 12f, 3yo filly, Roman Ghost-Wings of Light, Soft
So have given myself a chance in either classic despite the weathwer by having a soft ground filly and firm ground colt. Will not like it firm but good ground is fine. Races handy.

1m2f
Song of Exile, 10f, 3yo colt, Travelling Light-Centrefold Soft
Loves dirt so going to give the Amnerican races a go. Came from last season played and runs well in my trials. Can make the running if there is no pace. Finally running times comparable to my older horses so may do well

Golden Sands, 10f, 3yo filly, Got the Power-Know Your Enemey, Good
Best at 6 but just recently pushed out my team of older horses. Will go for Chantilly and the French Derby where she trials well.

Tuff Enuff, 8-9f, 3yo colt, Primitive-Stans Diamant, Firm
Run a shocker in the trials but he is better than that so given him another chance. Not much chance in the Guineas but is much better at the Curagh and Ascot

Unwordly Beauty, 7-8f, 3yo filly, Notabadlad Tiger-Furious, Good
Another from my last season played so clearly not hitting a wall in my game. Sire is a game bred and dam is one of the few 4yos taht can hold her own against the older horses. Shoudl run well but doubt I will challenge Paul's

Juveniles
Only 4 here and they all versatile with ragrds distance alkthough none can get 5f.

Golden Touch, 6-7f, 2yo colt, Greyfrairs Plessis-Reggae Music, Good
Lovely game form. Multiple G1s on the flat and over hurdles. Trials best at 2 though.

Mayor of Simpleton, 7-10f, 2yo colt, King at Night-Mujarah Drift, Firm
Sire was a G1 winning 3yo last season. Dam is a game horse bought at a broodmare sale. Ran 3rd in the league trials. But his sons have pushed him down the pecking order. Excellent at 2 though

Star of the Age, 6-8f, 2yo filly, Mayor of Simpleton-Magic Hours, Firm
Monster in game and ck at 2 but form fell off a cliff in both ck and game at 3 so has gone to stud. Hopefully performs well

[b]The Beekeeper/b], 6-7f, 2yo filly, March Kings-Reggae Music, Good
Best at 2 in ck although won a large number of g1s i game when older.

Post Re: SO7 Season 2 - Stable Tour Flat
Flat Team

After a season that was far better than expectations, 23 total wins with 9 G1’s, though two were G1H and two more were those max rated G1’s which are basically 0-100 races in all but name, and against my better judgement I have continued to plug away with my Australian flat game. It is still a right mess, still does not produce anything in game with more than 90% potential and still tends to be averaging down generally. This said I have had a couple of breeds where the foal has come out better than both parents, so there is some hope, but I remain steadfast in my view that you can only go as far in this game as your stock permits and that this stock once set does not really change. I was on season 30 when the last league season started, I am now on season 61, so there has not been a lack of effort, if anything I have put as much time into the flat as the NH in preparation for this league season. But I am not expecting much, I certainly will not be challenging the top tier and will mostly be looking for an angle in the big handicaps, my 3yo’s generally are likely to be my best horses and where I might sneak some group level success. Target for the year will be 25 total wins, 10 G1 and it would be nice to pick up at least one classic, having brought home the Oaks and the St Leger last season.

2YO’s

Without doubt my weakest area, my 2yo’s are garbage, nothing in my lines produces horses that get beyond 75% by their second year, most are closer to 70% and my sprinters generally are awful so there is likely to be very little to shout about with this lot. My best chance is with my 1m types who last season managed to sneak a single G1.

Pack Hunter

Sire The Wolf Pack – In League team as a 4yo
Dam The All Spark – No league form

She is my stand out 2yo sprinter, rarely loses at trial and normally comes late and just about does enough, not that I think she is hiding anything, I merely think she is an average horse surrounded by donkeys. Breeding does have some interest on the sire’s side since it included G1 winner last season ‘Rorkes Drift’. Probably a 0-100 handicapper.

Lemonade

Sire Lemon Cake – No league wins, one 2nd place in a G2
Dam Burning Down The House – No league form

Very nearly entered the team in the jumps stable as a 4yo, which makes sense as Coffee And Cigarettes who ran my Juvenile hurdles last season is one generation back on the side of the Dam. The sire Lemon Cake was disappointing in the league, behind him G1H winner Coffee and Doughnuts is involved. Rates as my best 6f 2yo, which likely means she would be better suited to pulling a cart. 0-90 handicapper.

Coffee And Biscuits

Sire Coffee And Doughnuts – 2 League wins including the Newmarket G1H
Dam Zibet Please – No league form

The lesser of my 6f horses and sounded beaten twice in the exhibitions, does have G1H pedigree on the side of his sire, the Dam is a gamebred breeding mare. 0-80 handicapper.

Game of Two Halves

Sire Muzdahi Packet - No league form
Dam Gombeen Jigsaw – No league form

Gamebred brought at auction which highlights just how bad my 2yo’s are, only competes at 7f and fell away in his 3yo year. Most likely to be cut in week 5 for a 1.2m sort. 0-60 handicapper.

Dazzling Legend

Sire The Living Legend – In League team as a 3yo
Dam Dazzling – In League team as a 3yo

The first ray of sunshine in my 2yo team, sire ‘The Living Legend’ who won his exhibition and will be mentioned a lot in this write up, was one of the wonder breeds who developed beyond the level of his parents reaching the heady heights of 97% potential, the only horse I have who does this now. Those visual translated into the CK and I have bred him with pretty much everything since. Dam is my best 6f sprinter who herself has G1 winner ‘Rorkes Drift’ in her lineage, combined they have produced this nice 1m sort. Could be a group level challenger ranges 7f – 1m.

Hunting The Legend

Sire The Living Legend – In League team as a 3yo
Dam Pack Hunter – In League team as a 2yo

Another ray of sunshine, though a little less bright, again was part of the breed my top potential horse with just about everything and see what happens and the combination of sire ‘The Living Legend’ and 5f sprinter ‘Pack Hunter’ has again bred a decent 1m sort. She could also challenge at group level but more likely to be a 0-110 handicapper.

3YO’s

Without doubt my best chance of group success lies within my 3yo’s. There is next no progression in my lines from 3 to 4 and decline at 5, most of my horses never improve from 3yo so with the weight advantage they get they likely offer my best chance of challenging some of the older combined game horses. My sprinters are again rubbish, things don’t start to get interesting until 1.2m and up to 1.6m.

Dazzling

Sire Rorkes Drift – 2 League wins including the Breeders Cup Juvenile G1
Dam Invitation to Treat – No League form

The pick of my 6f sprinters at every age in the CK, breeding took my highest potential sprint line (95% at the time) and looked to uplift the 90% potential of G1 winner ‘Rorkes Drift’ to produce a 1m sort, did not exactly go to plan but the resulting sprinter is a long way ahead of everything else I have so cannot really complain. Not expecting her to be much more than a top tier handicapper, likely 0-110 and will go after the odd G1H.

Why Is The Cake Gone

Sire Let Them Eat Cake – In League team as a 4yo
Dam Glass Half Empty – No League form

Bit of an odd ball this horse since she has a decent range 6f to 1m, though it also speaks volumes about how bad my horses are generally. Sire is my top breeding sprinter but is really just more of the same horses who failed miserably last season. Dam does at least have a slightly better-looking extended lineage that includes ‘Rorkes Drift’ again G2 winner from last season ‘Zulu Dawn’. Handicapper probably in the 100 to 110 range.

Legendary Pirate

Sire The Living Legend – In League team as a 3yo
Dam Hedge Fund – No league form

Up until quite recently this horse was gelded, luckily, we found his bits and glued them back on with some sticky back plastic (showing my age with that comment) and so far, it looks like we have gotten away with it. Not sure what the ungelded version will look like since I did not have time to retrial him, but as he was, he was top draw as a 1m 3yo. Sire ‘The Living Legend’ again combined once more with a 5f sprinter in the hopes I might get something new in my sprinter lines and instead got an uplift in my milers again. Will go after the 2000, but I don’t really have high expectations. Low Group class.

Illustrious

Sire Envious – In league team as a 4yo
Dam Carmels Done – No league form

Something of a revelation this girl and the first horse to show the value in recycling your horses into the game. Sire ‘Envious’ is a very decent 1.2m type who used to be top dog until his son ‘The Living Legend’ inherited the mantle, G1 winner ‘Rorkes Drift’ is only one more generation back too but he was poor in the exhibitions. Where it gets interesting is with the Dam who I brought at auction and is the product of one of my own stud horses, she won a fair number of G1’s before I got here as a breeding mare and this her first foal has been impressive thus far. Will go at the 1000, but more likely to find success in the handicaps or lower group races.

The Drunken Duck

Sire The Living Legend – In league team as a 3yo
Dam Mardeila Henrietta – No league form

Another from sire ‘The Living Legend’ and again a failed attempt to improve my sprinters that has produced a 1m to 1.2m sort. Trials well at both distances and at 1.2m is only just a little behind his sire. Dam also has ‘Rorkes Drift’ in the extended lineage though was a failed sprinter who went straight to the barn as a 2yo. Could challenge at group level more likely to be a high-end handicapper.

The Living Legend

Sire Envious – In league team as a 4yo
Dam Legendary – No league form

The undisputed star of my stable, and the only winner I had in the exhibitions, breeding oozes class, well class for me. Sire ‘Envious’ has league horses for three generations including ‘Rorkes Drift’ G1, ‘Zulu Dawn’ G2 and ‘Belladona’ 3x G1 and the Dam is not short of class either with St Leger winner ‘Hooded Claw’ two generations removed. The only horse I think has G1 class and since he likes the Dirt will be going after the Kentucky Derby as his main aim.

Legend of Zubo

Sire Zubo – No league form
Dam Legend – In league team as a 3yo

Interesting bred this one, she rates as a 1.2m horse, but could stay up to 1.4m, the sire failed to really show much up to 3yo but with breeding that included league form from ‘Zulu Dawn’ I dropped him into auction to give the game stock a boost. He then proceeded to go undefeated for 2 seasons and amassed a total of 26 G1’s, he landed back in the barn, but only for one season and I got this single filly out of the equation. Dam also has G1 class in the breeding with the St Leger winner ‘Hooded Claw’. Not in the same class as my best 1.2m horses but interesting enough and could feature in the handicaps.

The Best Of Us

Sire Escape Plan – No league form
Dam Legend - In league team as a 3yo

The best of my Derby range types and could be interesting if he can stay in the closing stages, likes to front run as a rule. Breeding has some quality with both the ‘Hooded Claw’ and ‘Zulu Dawn’ featuring. Will certainly trouble at handicap level but he might just have enough to challenge the group races.

Sugar In A Plum

Sire Rorkes Drift - 2 League wins including the Breeders Cup Juvenile G1
Dam Brown Girl In The Ring – No league form

The pick of my Oaks horses, though the recent breeding leans more towards 1m types than it does stayers, but three generations back you can find ‘Belladona’ and her three G1 Oaks wins last season will take some beating. She is better too having trialed them against each other so could be a handful. Group level challenger.

Legend

Sire The Wacky Races – No league form
Dam Brown Girl In The Ring – No league form

Until recently she was the undisputed queen of my 1.4m sorts, until her half sister turned up and stole her thunder, she is still a force to be reckoned with and could also be a group level challenger breeding is a mix of my leger line and features the ‘Hooded Claw’ and my 1m ‘Zulu’ line. Group level.

The Perfect Mix

Sire The Hooded Heart – No league form
Dam The Special Mix – No league form

I actually have a stack of good leger distance horses and both her sire and dam could have taken this slot without any real noticeable change in quality. Sire is a direct descendant from the ‘Hooded Claw’ last seasons St Leger winner and he also features on the side of the Dam, but two seasons removed, the Dam also gave a decent account of herself in the exhibitions. St leger is the aim. Group level.

4YO’s

These horses are basically the same as my 3yo’s except they have to lug a little extra lead. The only noticeable uplift comes in my 2m+ range, where they are slightly better than their 3yo version. My best horses are in as 3yo’s, these are my second tier and will mostly be handicappers.

The Wolf Pack

Sire Rorkes Drift - 2 League wins including the Breeders Cup Juvenile G1
Dam Chocolate Brownie – No league form

Decent sort for 5f to 6f, but is only expected to be a handicapper. Sire had league pedigree and has featured a lot in my horses, ‘Belladona’ is three generations removed on the same side, Dam is all sprint lineage and has G1H winner ‘Coffee and Doughnuts’ in her lineage. Handicapper I guess 0-90.

Let Them Eat Cake

Sire Doughnut for Frank – 0 league wins, placed 3rd in a G1
Dam Chocolate Cake

My top sprint breed still to this day, which underlines how bad they are really. There is nothing much either side of the lineage to speak of, the league horses that are there, did not win a race between them. Handicapper 0-80.

Belle of The Ball

Sire The Wacky Races
Dam For Whom The Bell Tolls

This one is a total mystery really, the sire is from my leger line and was a top 1.4m horse in both trial and the game for a time, the Dam was rated at 1.5m and did her best work at about 1.3m and as the name suggests has 3x G1 winner ‘Belladona’ in the extended lineage. She trials at 1m go figure…………handicapper 0-100.

Envious

Sire Rorkes Drift - 2 League wins including the Breeders Cup Juvenile G1
Dam My Kind of Magic – 0 league wins, placed 2nd in a G2

Had a hand in a lot of my breeding and is still likely my 3rd best 1.2m horse, both parents are league horses one a failed sprinter the other a G1 winning miler. Might flirt with group races, but I expect the world cup on week one will be the end of his handicap chances for the foreseeable future, but he does like the dirt.

Belladona

Sire Critical Cantor – No league form
Dam Saucy Suzy – No league form

3 x G1 winner who too the Oaks, the Irish Oaks and the Crown Oaks in addition to running close in a host of other G1 races. But she is not the horse she was as a 4yo. To be honest she does not really even make the team on merit anymore, this is a sentimental entry. Group challenger, will be sad to see her decline though.

Deal With It

Sire Escape Plan – No league form
Dam Bunood Deel – No league form

The sire is from my ‘zulu’ line extended up to about 1.2m with onward breeding, the Dam is from the ‘Hooded Claw’ leger line but mixed with some 2m types. He will be looking towards the Irish St Leger and can range up to 2m, group level challenger maybe but more likely to be a handicapper.

Stay For Another

Sire Destination Melbourne – No league form
Dam Strawberry Fields – No league form

Decent sort over 2m but unlikely to be a star, will stay up to about 2.2m. Breeding has a league horse from last season G1 Elan Gold Cup winner ‘Brave New World’ on the side of the Dam, who has had a hand in a few of my decent stayers. Sire has the same line on one side and the leger line on the other, there is some pedigree here so could be a surprise package. Group handicapper, I think.

Everlast

Sire Brent Wanted – No league form
Dam Strawberry Fields – No league form

Don’t really have anything much at this distance so I went out and breed with some UK Ascot Gold Cup winners for a time to develop a line, this is the pick of the litter and the Sire a gamebred won it twice. Dam is my top two-mile breeder, but it did not help him much in the exhibitions. 0-100 handicapper at best.

Post Re: SO7 Season 2 - Stable Tour Flat
Time for the usual pre season tour around the lower to mid tier flat stable here at Leedham Towers. Things haven't progressed much to be honest in terms of time but a slightly different approach has been taken to the breeding side of things thanks to a post by Vinny about identifying the super stallions within the game. I was already using two of them, Getcarter and Eurobus, pretty extensively along with my own top stallion Ilawalla. After identifying the others I set about sending as many mares with blood from those three to the newly identified super stallions. This has resulted in my flat team only having six horses sired by my own stallions, Eurobus and Ilawalla getting one a peice and Getcarter not having any at all. Kite Windmill and Highland River seem to be the two that have produced the best, at least in my CK anyway, so their names will crop up a lot in the folowing paragraphs. The team is also very much in touch with its feminine side as I have 20 fillies and only 5 colts. Most of the horses are at or around their current age in game so I will either be in a great position broodmare wise or hitting the delete button depending on how the next thirteen weeks go.

2YO

Bridge Street Lady (f)(World Alchemist-Briquette) By a top sprinter out of a filly who was in the 2yo team last season and ran reasonably well without winning. Best at 6f on firm but goes on any. Has won on AW. Ran in one of the trials without being disgraced. Win chance 5/10

Abuzz (f)(Fossgate Yeoman-Jumairah Sydney) Out of a 1000 Guineas winner. Half sister to Al I Wanna Do who won as a 3yo last season. Trials well at 5-9f. Goes on all but best on firm. Won on AW. Consistent. 6/10

Rainbow River (f)(Highland River-Rainbows Lira) First representative of top super stallion who I identified about 3 seasons before he died. Seems best at producing stayers and NH types but gets a few speedy sorts too. Dam good sprinter and 2m chaser also represented by returning 3yo Tuscan Fiorino so family acts in racekit. Won from 5f to 9f at 2 but has tendency to bolt before race which may be her undoing. Goes on all ground and has won on AW. Could have got in team at 3 or 4 also. 7/10

Lotte Verbeek (f)(Kite Windmill-Jaraayah Lotte) Top Irish stallion in game gets good sprinters and milers. Early signs suggest will get speedy NH types too. Half sister to Evil Wind who won last season and Mataaleb Strider who is in the NH team. Consistent sort from 5f to 9f at 2. Acts on all ground but best on a good surface. 6/10

Yellow River (f)(Highland River-Citron) Mare bought at auction, first foal. Best at 7f and above. Goes on soft and good going. Has won on AW. Wild card punt. 6/10

Two Rivers (f)(Highland River-River Thyne) Dam has produced numerous winners mostly in NH. Best at 6-8f on good ground but acts on soft and firm. Wild card entrant. 4/10

3Y0

Winter Tapestry (f)(Tight Winter-Tide Tapestry) Pedigree all about speed. In as a 6f horse but stays 7. Likes firm going and has won on AW. 5/10

Windmills Of Your Mind (c)(Kite Windmill-Missolonghi) One of only handful of colts in the team. Best at 7 but stays 1m well. Goes on all ground and has won on AW. 7/10

Sun Goes Down (f)(Kite Windmill-Ascoli) First of the returners. Ran well at 2 last season without winning. Finishing 6th in Albany at Royal Ascot and 4th in G2 at Newmarket as well as being brought down when making ground in G1 in France. Dam was in NH team last season and has a half sister and a half brother in NH team this. Family go well in racekit. Best at 7 or 8f. Goes on any and has won on AW. 8/10

Romantic Miller (c)(Kite Windmill-Holiday Romance)Dam has produced plenty of winners and was a decent racemare. Will give me a good idea where I am as he is just about to start 4yo season in game. Has won on everything from soft to hard and also on AW. Won 2000 Guineas. Should stay 10f. 8/10

First Vacation (f)(Gallagher Origin-Woop Holiday) Ran well in league at 2 being placed 3 times. Sire won last season in NH team including win at Cheltenham Festival and returns again. Strangely as 3m chaser seems to get good 2 and 3yos. Stays 12f best at 10 and goes on all ground. 8/10

Tuscan Fiorino (f)(Gallagher Origin-Rainbows Lira) Another returner who won twice last season at 8f and 10f as well as being placed a further 3 times. Acts on soft and firm and has won on AW. Best at 10-12f. Half sister to 2yo Rainbow River. 8/10

Temple Of The King (c)(Blackmore Instrument-Tamburello Daffodil) Something of a stable star last season winning twice, being placed three times and incredibly being disqualified from first place another twice on consecutive weeks. Comes with a rare rattle at the end of a race and invariably finds trouble hence the disqualifications. Stays 12f but may be better at 10. Far better in racekit than in game as has no worthwhile game form to speak of and went chasing. Sire was in NH team last season being placed on numerous occasions. Best on good and AW. 9/10

Set Menu (f)(Highland River-Order Of The Day) Good stayer. Didn't race until 3yo season when winning St Leger. In game age curremtly 4 so will be interesting to see how she does. Dam was a 3m4f chaser so should stay all day. Effective from 14f upwards. Stable usually does well with stayers. Wil be targeting a handicap later in season which I have won 3 seasons on the trot. Best on firm. 7/10

So Marvellous (c)(Pronounce Marvel-So Vain) Wild card 3yo entrant. Consistent in trials from 8 to 10f. Just completed 3yo season in game winning Guineas and other G1 races. 3/10

Older Horses

Southwark Meltemi (4f)(Cool Luke-Muirfiled Iorlach) Stable always struggles with sprinters and this one won all trials at 5 and 6f at all ages by some way. Ran in one of the trials races without distinction so it would appear sprinters are poor again. Could win if gets into the low handicap AW series. Otherwise likely candidate for early exit. Stays an easy 7 goes on all surfaces including AW. 3/10

Polly Black (4f)(Milwr Black-Polly Holder) Ran well enough without winning last season being hampered by high handicap mark. Starts off 80 which makes life difficult for her but still trials well. In at 7f but stays 10f. Prefers a sound surface. Goes on AW. Handicap mark will dictate her chances of success and longevity in the team. Sire was in NH team as a 2 miler last season. 5/10

Biba Roar (4f)(Eurobus-Express Orchid) Double figure G1 winner from 2 to 6 in game. Could have been entered at any age but seems to peak at 4 and 5. Still racing now at 6. Prolific G1 winner from 8-10f so hoping to break into top company with this one. Stables best flat win was G3 Winter Derby in final SO6 season although we have won many NH G1s. Goes on all going but prefers it firm. Has won on AW and on tight US tracks. A little disappointing on trials day outings. 9/10

Magical Wonder (4f)(Magnitude News-Sellette Fast) Dam has produced numerous winners but some have quirks and don't train on after 3yo season. This one seems more straightforward and performs best at 10 or 11 furlongs but stays an easy 12. Ran well for a while on trials day. Could be one for MD AW series as goes well on AW. 4/10

Funk To Funky (4f)(Ashes Lusnigan-Grey Pearl) By in game super stallion out of first decent filly I produced. Offspring so far have been hit and miss. Dam excelled in game and in CK but totally bombed in racekit last season and was transferred out in week 5. This one could go same way. Has no great game form but like dam was good in CK. 2/10

Sandbar (4f)(Highland River-Sand Blossom) Dam was a decent chaser who nearly made NH team. Top notch in game form winning Arc at 3. Goes on all ground and is effective on AW. Won from 8f to 12f at 3 in game. Improved at 4. Hopeful for a good showing. 8/10

Highland Gala (4c)(Highland River-Ghalaa) Solid stayer who probably has a future over fences in seasons to come. Dam consistently wins 2m chase trials but falls every other race so not in team. That may change in transfer window depending how NH team is doing. This chap goes on all going and has his mothers acceleration so has the speed to win over 12f as well as the stamina to win over 2 miles. 7/10

Bad Habits (6m)(Kite Windmill-Capstick) Interesting entrant as was sent hurdling in game at 4 when still a maiden on the level. Hence has no flat form over 12f but somehow ended up in 2 mile trials and performed consistently well throughout. Half sister to Huma Degas who won as a 3yo in league last season and was expected to return this but lost out in trials. Should be a solid 10-12f horse on breeding. Prefers a bit of give. Interesting 5/10

Huntress (4f)(Ilawalla-Robin Faze) By stables first in game star Ilawalla and his only direct offspring in team out of mare who was in NH team last season predominantly as a 3m chaser. Doesn't quite have the speed to win top class races at 14f but comes into her own over just the one extra furlong bagging plenty of those French 1m7f G races. Stays 2m2f and may get further. Goes on everything including AW. 6/10

Lucky Rebecca (7m)(Plein Lukey-Rebecca Denel) Another returning horse who bagged several wins last season including handicap at Royal Ascot. Bred to be a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and was due to be in the NH team this season. However she still wins long distance trials and has a definite preference for firmer ground. Sire was a winner in NH team last season and returns this season as number one long distance chaser after being gelded. 9/10.

That's the little mini guide then, as much for my own reference as anyone else's really. This season sees the unveiling of my new silks courtesy of Gray. The old Red Rum colours for my NH horses and the purple and white stripes of Lady Tavistock carried by the likes of Jupiter Island and Bluebook for the flat. Of course that hasn't quite panned out as on occasions I forgot to switch them or a horse has done better in the trials under the wrong code. Also a few returners still have my original all purple and all orange silks. Should be an interesting season, good luck to all and thanks to Gray for extending the upload window so I could get them in.

Post Re: SO7 Season 2 - Stable Tour Flat
Been a bit in an out for me in between seasons. Started off well improving most my games, but then had a 5-6 week period where I could hardly play because of crashes due to Graphics card issues. Be interesting to see how I go, as once that was fixed about a month ago, I seemed to have lost a bit of the appetite for it. Got it back again for the last couple of weeks, but almost certainly not enough to be too competitive here. Hopeful of a top 5 finish in the trainers flat championship.

Possible Stable Star - Nanching Enthrall, Xinyi Player, Beijing Respect, San Diego Fury

2yo's

I had no 2yo's at all in my team last year, so anything here is a big bonus for me

Wuxi Tales A filly out of Beijing Respect (Hefei Delta) and also Has Xinyi Player as a grandparent. Not gonna see many better bred horses for league form. Never trained on as a 3yo in my game an I got rid before trialling it at 2 unfortunately. Very much in the mould of Xinyi an delta in it needs holding up, which will massively go against it over 5f. Expected to run some very big races, but likely to be a few it never gets in to. May end up trying 6f

Nanching Enthrall Has the potential to be a bit of a star, won a trials race coming from last at Goodwood over 6f. Ascot an the likes much more suited to her. Really excited by this one. Has Hefei Delta in her breeding on both sides but much more average looking parents. Never trained on from 2 again. Likely to be right n the mix for the 6f group races at Newmarket an Ascot

Osaka Play Bred from a game horse in the last season I played. No idea if he has trained on to 3 as he's still 2 in the game, only had 3 runs. Very much a firmer ground specialist, anything on firm over 7/8f I think he'll be there

Tulsa Instinct Probably the least fancied of my 2yos, she's very consistent. Out of San Diego Fury who is my main 1m2 league horse, likes the dirt so the Breeders probably the main target

Seattle Pricetag Wins trials from 7f to 1m2 at home without being the very best at any. Sired by Hanghu Leary who was 2nd in the Melbourne Cup in the league but has sprinters in his breeding. Likely to be best at 1m on firmer ground, but in the team purely for versatility, an definitely has that CK trait you need along with consistency, bit of a gamble

Sprinters

No chance my sprinters will have the same impact as last season, still decent enough, an advanced in some areas, but still all like to come into the race too late

Wenchang idiot 5f horse, who can maybe stretch to 6 at times. Could end up in between distances and aiming for the 5.5 race at the Breeders. Another top horses this season out of Beijing respect for me

Xinyi Player Really didn't want to enter her this season as she's easily the best horse I've ever had, and didn't want to ruin that with a poor season. Still very much in the mix in my trials with Beijing respect only consistently better. But seems to be much more versatile. Hoping her ease of travelling into races means she'll be very competitive again, she's at least as good at 4 at home

Beijing Respect Really has the talent to similar to Xinyi last season, beats her all the time at home, however he simply has to be running in a straight line to win. The likes of Newmarket an Ascot will be right up his street. Definitely could go either way with him. He's bred quite a few of my league team too. Another out of Hefei Delta the super breeder, half brother to Xinyi Player

Tongling Danger Another out of Hefei Delta. Another that needs to come very late, uploaded at 3 solely to target the commonwealth, but done my trials at the wrong track :) likely she'll be taken out in the transfer window due to my own error

Milers Horses

By far my worst group of horses, expecting nothing from these

Shenzhen Stardust Consistent enough in the trials, out of a very good broodmare sprinter. Was leading very well a furlong out in the trials over 1m, so gonna be targeted at the 7f races as she clearly didn't stay.

Taishan santinyi Don't know what to say here, she is out of Beijing respect, has to come from last, gets the most consistent results in my trials, but I just don't think she stays 1m so who knows. In my notes for the league trials I have put 'Very confusing horse, in through default'

Shenzhen Grifter Bred out of a game horse in my final season played for my mile game, but his mare is Xinyi Nightngale who was brilliant for me last season. More hopeful with this one, seems consistent but that's all he has going for him

Nantong Stardust Very average breeding from a time I was struggling in my mile game. Always seems to be staying on to a place in my trials so put in to see if he casn pick off any fast paced races. Unlikely to be a danger to many

Middle Distance

I have high hopes for these, although I haven't performed too well in the trials, some were given insane rides.

Memphis Willpower The horse that propelled my lines so long ago, most of my 1m2 horses have him somewhere. I didn't think he'd make it in my trials but done really well on dirt, an flexible over 1m1 an 1m2 so in as a back up but has some decent targets himself, anything firm he'll be close too. If he's not good in the UAE Derby week 1 we'll know his fate for the rest of the season.

Cincinatti desperation Out of Memphis Willpower, and excels on softer ground, entered with the French derby in mind, if that comes up soft has a big chance, should be ok even on better ground though, just not quite as good

El Paso Impact Decent breeding, sire was 3rd in a trials race. Bred only in my last season for the 1m4 game. Grand Sire (Putian Crus) also very good in last seasons league. He's a massive improvement on those pair as he gets there to challenge a lot earlier. Targeting the Derby

San Antonio PeachyA very good horse over 12-14 furlongs. Ran ok over 14 in the trials, fancy a really strong gallop at Ascot over 1m4 will be perfect for him ut wont win many if any

San Diego Thou In it for the french Oaks, but definitely good enough to compete in races where Leons older monsters aren't running

San Diego Fury Another out of Memphis Willpower, my main hope over 1m2, very flexible in ground and distance, but firmer preferred. Seems to love dirt too. Had a mare in the final trials day where the jockey pulled him from 3rd to last on the final bend, then stayed on again for a close up finish. Should be better than that showing.

Wichita Mischief New to my trials, but runs very well, and very consistently, gonna be entered very highly to see how she does, could be one of the better ones for my stable

Modesto Roll Entered last minute after underperforming in my trials. Had a slot left so put her in as she had been phenomenal in my season trials, but flunked the main league trials. Bit of a gamble , but one worth taking judging on her normal trials.

Denver baraka Can run over 1m4 an 1m6. Won the trials race over 1m4 and that is the only reason she's in. Probably wouldn't have made it from trials alone but had nothing else i liked really. A stiff 1m4 an she'll be thereabouts. Could stretch to 1m6 after seeing how she does. She's also the mare of SA Peachy.

Cincinatti Raven Sits handy, an is very good in my trials, against horses with league form too. Should be my best 1m4 horse, but did fail in the trials race she ran. Still hopeful

Stayers

Not expecting much from there, played about 3 seasons since the last league season

Heshan Luder Out of Hanghu Leary, second off a big weight in the Melbourne Cup in season 1. Puts them to bed a lot in my trials, probably likely to be rated around 110, so inbetween handicap an group level

Kaiping East Also out of Hanghu Leary, ran 3rd saying on in the trials, looks pretty decent, may be good enough to grab a few places in group races
