ITS BACK, WIN €20.00 TO THE CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE..... (Open to all League players, even if you do not have a NH stable)

HOW TO PLAY –

You will need to pick 1 trainer from each Group 1,2,3 & two from Group 4, that are listed below and you will score points for every race at the festival that they have a horse entered who comes in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th

There will also be bonus points (75) available for each, by correctly guessing the total number of DNF'S (Fallers/PU's/Unseated Riders etc.) over all the 29 races at Cheltenham (eg.58) as well as guessing the winning margin in the Gold Cup (R29) (eg. 2.5L)

Points as follows -

If your trainer pick, wins or places in a race over the Festival meeting -

1st - 25 points (If a DH both will receive 15 points only)
2nd -15 points
3rd - 10 points
4th – 5 points

You will also receive treble points from your two picks from Group 4 (i.e if a Craig Beckwith horse places 2nd you will receive 15 x 3 = 45 points)

+ 75 point bonus available for each, if you choose the exact number of DNF's & the exact race card correct winning distance in the GC.

Entries to be made in this thread. Entries will close 1600 (UK) Friday 19th, For those trainers who Race Run. All other trainers have until Monday 22nd, 1200 (UK)

The winner will be the trainer who accumulates the most points over the meeting from their picks including bonus points if won.

If a tie, the closest to the correct number of DNF's will win. Judges (me) decision will be final.

Well a fine start to the 1st day and no fewer than 8 different winners including a DH, which I may not of called well in later races doh!

Thanks for those who entered the competition, the "stalwarts" of the league didn't let me down

Sitting at the top is Paul Rhodes after day 1, his team including, Leon, Hemz, Davie R. Gray & Kev with just Gray not winning a race for the team, myself behind in 2nd & Kevin M sitting with the wooden spoon, but early days. We had a total of 22 DNF's pretty high for day 1 and not a PU in sight.

Most trainers were having a "love in" for Dave Robertson with all but 1 picking him in their team and he duly obliged with 2 wins and 3rd. The highest scoring trainer being Craig (Hemz) with 95 points, I think I put him and David Hooley the wrong way round in the groups



Well done to Alex who leads the top trainer board with 3 wins of the day..... "The handicapper wins the handicaps" has to be Martins best line

Vinny the unluckiest trainer of the day with four 2nd's.
