Post Season Reviews
A decent season for me getting double the winners I did last season and finishing 9th in the championship
Delighted with the 3 G1 wins this bought my tally up to 181 in my league history.

No doubt my stable star was Ascot Gold Cup & Prix Du Cadran winner Born Trippy who is an excellent stayer.

Sadly I won't be competing next season on the flat I might have a few jumpers

Congratulations to the champions

Huge thanks to everyone involved in running the league you do a huge job thank you

Post Re: Season Reviews
Was enjoyable being back in the fold for this year and enjoyed doing the comms again, once again sorry for the last week but life got in the way!

As always, I went into the season with high hopes after my first good season with G1 winners in S10 but I was never going to get to that level with only 22 seasons under my belt from a new game and managed to get a full team out. I would hope to be back next season but I'm at the point where a season takes hours and hours to complete which is putting me off, but I have enough probably to get involved next time without any big increase in ability.

2yo's
I've never been good with the 2yo's and that trend extended here.

Sprinters - Purple Ronnie nabbed a win but him and Druidess we're very up and down and mediocre throughout. The Predator was my best 2yo by far but the results wouldn't suggest that, was so consistent his handicap mark barely changed to give him a chance. Lucky Berry managed to wrangle a place in the Albany but it was very undersubscribed which led to that, was also very unfortunate to have her win in the AW qualifier taken from her. The Predator for sure
and potentially Druidess may be back as 3-y-o's

7f-1m2 - All of these were pretty mediocre, Moon Crescent was probably the worst of the 3 but nabbed a win on the final day. Could never figure out Rose Alley's favourite trip and Lucky Brother was very mediocre also. All of them managed a few places though.

3yo's
Struggled with the classic generation again as usual

Sprinters - Mastermind was the expected to be the best horse in the stable but couldn't reproduce her best at this level, still managed a win at 0-90 and a few places, will 100% be coming back as a 4yo. Rose Of Lancaster was very poor.

Milers - Death Star was very consistent at the low handicap level and was unfortunate not to get a win, but form tailed off at the end of the season badly. Octavian was a slow burner and was dissapointed but the way we campaigned him worked out in the end winning a huge pot on the final day. Lucky Moon was bang average and never really threatened at any level.

Classic - Dancing Moon was always a last minute one that was chucked in as nothing else warranted it and showed that throughout the season, was very poor. I was however majorly dissapointed with Suprastar who was another star at home beating everything and just didn't transition to the league. Kew Corner was very poor too. However there is hope, I have two horses in Richtofen and Titanfall who thump these three by 5-10 lengths over 1m4f-2m and they may be more competitive next year.

4yo's
Much better performances by some of these.

Sprinters - Big fall to earth going from my 2 sprinting stable stars in Season 10 mopping up G1's to Breton Rose and Master Line plodding around off 55. Both were bang average throughout with Master Line showing a bit more consistency though.

Milers - Traditionally been poor with milers, but this year it was where my strength lied. Zoro being the big stable star this year, I've never had a proper in-game superstar come good in the league but finally had one here with Zoro, 14 G1's in game over a mile and here managed to win 4 including one at 0-110 and one at listed level before being placed in a G1 handicap on the final day, I need to check but I'm praying I have him as a 5yo in the stable. Cactus Jack was also excellent and consistent, 6 places including in the Victoria Cup and was very unfortunate not to get in-front at any stage. Marie Curie also turned out to be well suited to the league with the right running style, won a 0-80 but was consistent and always in with a shout throughout the season.

Classic - Disco Heaven was OK throughout and nearly came good in the big AW final, but again my classic horses are never good enough. The Outlaw was also in the same boat, consistent but not good enough to get a head infront.

Stayers - Normally my real strong point with multiple Ascot Gold Cups from previous years in the cabinet. Easter Sunday won early, lost the way completely and then came flying back at the end of the season without anything to show from it. Prized Princess was thrown in and proved average as expected despite nicking one and Maundy Thursday was exceptionally consistent, and didn't finish outside the top 4 in her last 9 races, yet didn't win one!

I probably will be back next season and may have some better horses but I'm not expecting a huge improvement and I haven't played in weeks, we'll see if the fire reignites going into the new season.

Thanks all for your hardwork behind the scenes to make it all happen!

Post Re: Season Reviews
Really enjoyed the season , and came out of it much as I'd expected. Losing my whole NH game beforehand was obviously a downer but the files I had stored were enough to get me through the season with enough wins and places to keep me engaged.

I was very happy with the flat especially with 2 (real) GROUP 1s and a few big handicaps to celebrate. In answer to Martin's question in commentary, no I don't view the 'banded' G1 as a a Group win - my view is that the prizemoney is fine and keeps things exciting for the final week, so just call them something else.

Delighted to hear Martin mention my horse naming in commentary several times! Sadly, Garroose, which he was so taken with, will not be back for another season, but there maybe a chance that the name will be used in some form. By the way Martin, it is the name of the townland in County Limerick where I grew up! I do like to pull names from all over and I do apologise for Horst Du Die Trommeln, but at least I've held off on using Irish (Gaelic) for now :-)

Many, many, thanks to all for the effort put in to deliver another season. Hopefully there will be another. If there is I'm definitely up for taking on a task to help out (just NOT commentary!).

Cheers,

Padraig
