Security improvements have been on the cards for a while now. I should have added these on release but just never got around to it. The reason it has not been done since it that it will mean horses have to be re-exported afresh. It may even mean game re-starts but I need to look into the options further first.

Considering recent events the most important point is that players need to have confidence that others are not editing file and in effect cheating.

So in addition to security enhancements in the files themselves I will be creating separate validation options that will not be in the game or even the league kit. All uploaded horse files will have to be sent to me at some point and they will then be validated. If anybody then turns out to be modifying files then they should probably be chucked out of the league altogether as this activity is clear 100% cheating. But in the end the punishments are up to the league staff.

This does not cover the question of swapping horses but I have some ideas on this depending on what the consensus is on this after the league staff and players have finished discussing it.

*UPDATE*

The current league season WILL be continued. I know many members are looking forward to it's completion. There are still some staff roles to be sorted out so it will probably commence in a week or two.

After the end of this season new security measures will be introduced to avoid editing of files and cheating. A patch will be released in a couple of weeks. All current horse exports will not be eligible for next seasons races. You will have had to export your league horses from the upcoming patch. A separate validation process has been put into place. Once all uploads are complete I will run them all through the validation software here and a report will be produced containing any illegible or modified horse files. No doubt anyone then found trying to cheat will be banned.
