Post Preview - UK Week 02 Race 19 Sunbury Antiques Maiden
Track notes:

1200m - Difficult race as there are many chances. Barriers will be all important here since at the 1200m at Kempton there is a 250m run to the turn, sweeping for 350m till the home stretch of 600m. Horses caught out 4 and 5 deep will be giving a little ground to the inside runners and this will play a big part in determining the winner as they are evenly matched. Hence the backmarkers trying to make ground will need luck running through the middle. If they go 4 and 5 deep it will have cost there chances. So I’m looking for race handy types who start well and draw inside barrier 6.

Bobby K B2 (Sir Paul O’Neill)
First start here and prefer to see.

Choir Master B7 (Lami)
Last start 11th to Roya and found them too slick for him. Tuff assignment.

Choisir B9 (nickdriver)
Last start 9th to Roya and raced up with the speed but faded last little bit. Needs Luck.

Cocoa Beach B8 (Ryan)
Last start encouraging 6th beaten by winner Roya. Kept coming and wasn’t too far away. Respect.

Darabaka B10 (S Speight)
12th to Roya last start and found that class too strong. Will find it tuff here.

Empire Rose B5 (DodgyDave)
Last start 7th to Roya but was not disgraced. Was one of the widest runners but kept coming to the line. If it gets and inside draw and clear inside running will be right in the thick of things. Respect.

Humble Glory B3 (finalfurlong)
Good effort last start 5th to Favelon as it kept trying in the straight to be not far away from the winner. Good draw and inside running will see him right up there. Chance.

Kaapa Dancer B11 (P Hogan)
Last start at this distance 2nd to Favelon where it was blocked for a run twice as it attempted to get closer to that horse. Once found daylight gradually made ground on the leader to only go down ¼ lengths. Would have given the winner all sorts of problems if it got clear running. Will give this a mighty shake. Hard to beat.

Oodle B1 (D Robertson)
2nd last start over same distance against Roya and found that horse a little smarter. Although had the luxury of gate 1 the horse still needed to perform to go close in winning. One of the favourites.

Smolensko B4 (K Robertson)
Last start over 1000m 5th to Q T where it found them a little too slick. Worked home well last 200m and the stepping up in distance suits. From an astute trainer and rumour has it that the stable thinks 6f will bring out the best in him. Been backed in the ring by the stable. Danger horse.

Sole Power B6 (J Gorman)
First start here and prefer to see.

Tips

Oodle draws barrier 1 and is a handy horse. You must also include Empire Rose who was trapped wide last start. Kaapa Dancer is a very smart horse but the barrier 11 destroys its chances. If it wins it will be a herculean effort. Smolensko from barrier 4 is right in this.

Tip 1st Oodle 2nd Empire Rose 3rd Smolensko

Your thoughts.

Great stuff m8. Just to clear up though my horse is Bobby K not just Bobby - 1m horse that does'nt stay his trip - best at 6/7 F - should run well and could spring a surprise but not the best in my stable.
