Post UKRA WK2 R21 Bakers Dozen Maiden 1m 5f (Stand)
A big field for this maiden. I'm going to find the winner and have a nice big bet.

Battle Horror (Kevcon) - Ran in the 250k Start Up Maiden 1m3f Wk1 and was always at the rear outpaced. The step up could help but should not trouble the principals.

Beacon (Lami) - Described as "the best i've trained" by Lami but could find no more over 1m5f at Wolverhampton in the Liytx Maiden in Wk1. Maybe better if held up but on a strict line through the form should not make the places.

Bonius Longbeard (Hemz123) - Wonderfully named horse. Having its debut run and can only be watched.

Callandor (Hackett) - Another to run in the 250k Start up Maiden. Looked horribly one paced. Place lay.

Glenbrook (Doza) - Last in the Lityx Maiden and won't trouble the judge.

Gold Wing (17 Days) - Trainer describes him as a 1m7f horse so is probably giving him a run here to assess the horses needs. Best watched.

Lions Den (David Robertson) - Front ran in the New Season Underway Maiden over 1m4f week one and faded towards the finish. Big threat if he settles better over the longer trip, but is described as a 1m4f horse by the trainer. A contender.

Merlene (K Robertson) - Ran in the Rumblethumps Silks Maiden Wk 1 over 1m6f and front ran. A big contender obviously has the stamina and fought on well. Could be taken on by Lions Den but i see Merlene coming out on top in that private battle. Major contender.

Mickys Law (Laurel Racing PLC) - Ran in the Young Stayers Maiden 1m7f in Wk1. Ran poorly and is readily discounted.

Nigella (Padraig Hogan) - Ran in the New Season Underway Maiden Wk1 and didn't appear to stay 1m4f. Discounted.

Plea Quest (Steven) - Ran in the Lityx Maiden in Wk1 and finished 2nd. Was up with the pace all the way and ran on. Big chance, but the trainer is worried that the strength of that maiden is not as strong as the Rumblethumps Maiden. Should be close. Contender.

Scarlett Red (Nickdriver) - Ran in the Lityx Maiden and finished 3rd and was staying on strongly towards the finish. Trainer is expectant but not as bullish as he is with Johnny Corleone in the 2m3f maiden this week. Will be staying on again and is a contender.

Zee Zee Jamare (HurricaineRun) - Another from the Lityx Maiden finishing 5th. Looked one paced and never looked like winning. No comments on the horse but as he is from such a respectable stable an each way chance is given.

Conclusion

Zee Zee Jamare and Beacon are lively outsiders, a big battle will insue between nickdriver and steven with Scarlett Red and Plea Quest but the winner will come from Lions Den and Merlene with the latter my pick.
