Post Review - US Season 04 Week 02 Race 11 Holy Bull Stakes
US Season 04 Week 02 Race 11 Holy Bull Stakes

1st Gaze of The Eagle (scatters)
Strong performance and used the advantage of gate 1 which made the difference in winning. Started well and dictated the speed throughout showing a bold front running performance. Classy colt Danger Moon loomed on the outside the last 400m and looked the winner but Gaze of the Eagle toughed it out for a grinding win. Very good horse.

2nd Danger Moon (craig stares)
Very, very, very good colt that was unlucky here starting from barrier 8. There was 100m to the first turn, and was trapped 4 and 5 deep giving some ground to the leader. Settled nicely near the back and then in the home turn 700m out made its move with a sustaining run but travelled 5 and 6 deep giving ground again and loomed up 400m out to lay the challenge to the leader, always making ground but its tough run throughout finally took its toll as it just failed to breach the gap. Good barrier and inside running sees this colt near unbeatable over 1800 to 2000m. One to follow.

3rd Dragonmount (A Cripps)
Started well but a little wide first turn giving ground a little. Raced back until mid race where he moved to a forward position. Asked to challenge the leaders 400m out but was held comfortably by the first 2 placegetters. Amazing performance last start without winning over 2000m and that distance suits better. Not far from a win. Keep watching.

4th Nightmares In Berlin (R L Moore)
Raced handy throughout near the fence and looked comfortable but when asked to challenge the leader 500m out made a little ground without troubling the first 2. Met 2 classy colts here but will win soon.

5th Zephania (P Hogan)
Missed the break slightly and found the fence quickly the first turn racing in a rear position. Made its move at the 800m mark and made ground but was held quite comfortably by the first 2 home. Nice run.

The other runners in this race found the grade a little too tough so look for a weight advantage in up coming races.
