Post Week 4 Handicaps
So, the fun has begun!

Please see TOM for the handicap scratchings, most are down to there only being one run (UK and NHC are minimum 3 runs or 2 at the handicap distance), a couple are due to there being only 2 runs over completely inadequate distances.

At longer distances I have been a bit more lenient allowing 2 runs if it is within 1f of the handicap distance.

In NHC I have also been pretty lenient, one run is a no-no though. Two runs, depending on the quality of those races, the distances and the performance I have made a call. As the season progresses I will get less lenient though so be warned. Race 14 has been left completely untouched due to the lack of extreme distance races.

As a final warning you should know the handicapper has a very long memory, you only get one trick in then he may hammer your entire stable

Thanks though to everyone who has taken the handicap route in the spirit it was intended, I have done a fair bit of research this week and it's looking good. Thanks also to those who uploaded their horses this week correctly handicapped, almost 100% success rate this week!

Retirements will open this week too.

Don't see anything odd in the handicaps?

You're free to enter horse in whatever distance you like if it isn't a handicap. If the sole intention of the run is get a lower mark then you will be disappointed when you try to enter that horse in a handicap!

It has only run once, handicap needs a minimum of 2 runs at a distance close to that required or 3 over all distances.
