Post Downunderstables Iron Race (Preview)
Dabat - Unraced stallion. From a trainer who has tasted success this season. Lively Outsider.

Eastern Magenta Unraced colt. Trainer doesn't seem too confident in his write up.

High Volume Unraced filly. From a top trainer and must have a chance. Worrying that is a 3yo against the elders in a staying contest though.

Hothaifa Unraced colt. I know little about the trainer but if his horse Vintage is anything to go by this could be a danger to the principals. Lively outsider.

Johnny Corleone The clear favorite. Won convincingly over this trip on heavy ground and a very creditable performance over a shorter trip last time. Only worry is the trainer has stated soft ground brings the best out of the beast. Even money fav.

Millennium Mephisto 3rd favorite. Beat Johnny Corleone over this trip on the AW but trounced on heavy ground. The trainer thinks the horse will improve a lot for the better ground, but has a better Ascot Gold Cup hope running in week 6. The Esher Cup is now the target for this. Each way cert.

My Petra Unraced Mare. From the Hogan stable who have tasted much success over staying trips. The trainer will know where this one stands so watch the market. 2nd favorite.

News King Finished infront of Johnny Corleone in the Goodwood Iron race staying on. Has to be considered.

Sammy Bear Thoroughly exposed. Will be 3-4 lengths behind the winner.

Sunday Gold Rank outsider. Beat by Sammy bear in Chester Cup getting 11lbs by a very small margin. Form will be reversed this time.
