Del..yes it was a choice of mine with Rich's help
and it was to be used as a GN Trial in my mind anyhow
Ryan
maybe a listed final??
but by rights it should be a h'cap
i would if i was the chooser it would be a Grade 3 H'cap...
but i would go with the concensus on this?

im just thinking for the final the aim is to find the best marathon runner in the league and therefore shud be run off level weights imo
the gold cup is aimed at finding the best 3m2f chaser in the league
the champion hurdle is aimed at finding the best 2m hurdler in the league.
therefore i would think the moores millions final would aim at finding the best marathon runner in the league

see where you're coming from Ryan..
but in RL the GN is a handicap so as to give everybody a chance
if it was a listed ie everyhorse on the same weight then
only 2-3 horses would have the chance to win it..which i feel is unfair
therefore my choice for a G3 H'cap would be a good one
but i have said i would go with the consensus on this
and i would if it was different?

yeh but as u know the top weights struggle in races in this league, especially in nhc weight is so hard to carry
so the GN being a hcap and the Moores Millions final being a hcap would punish the better horses.
is it not better balance having GN as hcap and Moores Millions off level weights??

I was thinking a G1 in Week 16 and a Handicap in week 17, perhaps Paul could even set the handicap marks of all the entrants in Week 17 to what he sees fit?

good idea Rich
how about this??
all horses 10st 0lbs
a winner of a listed 3lb penalty
a placed horse in a Graded race 5lb
a winner of a G3 7lb
a winner of a G2 10lb
a winner of a G1 14lbs
so a horse a winner of a listed and a G3 would carry 10st 10lbs
let me know what u guys think for the Million Finale?

i like rich's idea.
i have two horses who have won moores millions races yet they both wont be able to be in a final!!
there shud be two finals - one at around the 3m6f distance uve used, and then an iron distance at 4miles 2f or something like that. maybe the shorter one could be a handicap or somethin like that
i certainly would like the chance to race both my qualifying winners a mm final!!!

Ryan..
both horses will run in the semi finals as all top 3 finishers qualify for it
prob be 2 semi-finals so both poss they will run
but both may not be in final either...
both have same chance
the semi-finals have not been decided yet..
will look at formats over the next week or so to decide
