How do I get a handicap rating for my unraced horses as there are no more maidens and I'm not sure if I want to run some of them in listed or group races

Unfortunately you will have to try your luck in listed or group class.

Best to put them in races with less than 16 runners or they may be balloted out.

If they get well beaten there shouldn't be too much damage done to the ratings.

I have some that run the right times :) We will have to see. It's been a long time. Stable may be better at jumps though. Have some good stayers and a few good front runners. Hoping they might steal a race or two :D

Ok. Had some big price winners recently. Some big placepots and some big price doubles. Still making money :)

This is true for G1 races but G2, G3 and Listed races have a max field of 30 starters.

Cheers

Per the rules:

3. Rules for Group Racing

The maximum field sizes for all group racing is 16 starters.

So it looks like 16 max for every group race. That may be a little low with all of the trainers lined up.

 I stand corrected, but I thought initially the 16 limit rule only applied to G1's?

Me too, l think this rule should only stand for Group 1s, there is way too many trainers to reduce Group 2, Group 3 and Listed race's to a max of 16. i understand with Group 1s but any lower level should be 30 max imo with close to 50 trainers
