 The 2f rule
A few of my horses ran very well in the maidens. I have a couple of stayers who are capable of winning races from 2m-2m4. Now the rule I believe is if I start at 2m3f I can then run at 2m2, 2m3 and 2m4?
Late Run, a 3yo stayer, WON'T be running in any handicaps so is it ok to also run at 2m1f after she started at 2m3 and will run over 2m4 late season, if she is only in listed/group races??

Hi Keith,
Yes those boundaries are fine.

one or two of my horses can do a wide spread of distances. running well over a 4 furlong spread. One on the flat and about 4 in national hunt. Is it 2 furlongs either side of the first run or just 2 furlongs in total.
For example Drinkwater is my best horse over 2mile 5 and 3 miles hurdles

Not sure Leon, Mike is probably the man to ask.
Think he is operating the steward role this season.

With NH the rules differ l believe, although there is no set limit if your Nh horse was to jump 8 or 9 furlongs it would be scratched or have a hefty weight penalty

The 2f rule really applied to the shorter distances. At longer distances there is more flexibility and even more over NH.
An obvious handicap plot will probably see your horse withdrawn.
