 Rich
Hi Rich, just checked my horses for their runs in week 2 and all of them have not got a rating yet.
A lot of handicap races in week 3 and time is running out so how are we going to enter them since thet didn't receive a rating yet? If we need to delay week 3 noms so the rating can be sorted it would be best. Unless you post the ratings soon.
Cheers
John

 Re: Rich
i agree Scatters how can you enter a handicap unless you no the rating hopefully ratings will be updated b4 deadline or will have to enter blinded
my concern is that the NHC has not been updated in tom and they were run a day earlier than the flat hope flat & NHC will be updated at same time

 Re: Rich
NH is updated. When you want to enter a race all the new handicap ratings and previous form comes up and its rating and all its form are there when you click on the horse. For some reason the form and ratings aren't updated when you view your stable but everything is there

 Re: Rich
It's all screwed up. All ratings given from week 2 were off of a previous rating of 75. Week 1 races aren't even included in the current handicap ratings. Maybe Steve was right.

 Re: Rich
Its easy to fix. Horses should just be given the highest handicap mark of the two races. The league ran fine with the CK ratings for many seasons.
NH is correct.

 Re: Rich
Personally I dont think the ratings will work. Obviously I hope I am wrong but some of my horses marks are so far out on ability and their maiden run. Also the bands of the races are ridiculous. I want to run horses in the top handicaps, 81-95, but they are rated in the 70's after one run in a maiden. I didn't want to run in another maiden as then they would only be able to run in 7 races for the remaining 10 weeks due to the 9 race rule.
This isn't a go at Rich, he has an intense full-time job, but he needs help with this and also more discussion between trainers would benefit everyone. Are horses rated 81-95 even going to be entered in theses handicaps? I would guess most horses in that ratings bracket will be aimed at listed/group races.

 Re: Rich
Let all horses enter and then take the top 16 or 20 in the ratings. This will mean that 70 something rated horses will get in.

 Re: Rich
what about 60 - 100 handicaps open whole thing up
prob too late to change now
steves schedule is great & if he was running the handicapping it would have worked im sure he designed it around the way his handicapping system would work but with ck doing the ratings now its tough i do feel a little let down that he has gone we all get a little upset now and again but we were really depending on him and dont think that is very fair on the new trainers but it is what it is nothing we can do about it now just have to box on was hoping steve would have changed his mind but looks like he has gone for good i find it very disapointing & to be honest feel a little let down just the way i feel ah well box on

 Re: Rich
Are handicaps going to be opened up?? Same as matt, some of my better horses are rated high 70's low 80's and they should be more. I've had a horse finish just about last tailed off over 2 miles twice in 18 runner fields and its rated 74, I have horses that are rated 80ish that have finished really close but just outside the places......... I'm away now for the weekend so I'm just going enter where I can and hopefully they wont be chucked out if a couple of pounds out of handicap.

 Re: Rich
Yes...I'm not really sure how this is going to work. I think the handicapping will be OK, but the ratings limits (as they are currently set) may not be accurate.
I would say, this week, use the rating limits as a guide but if you want to enter a horse outside of this then feel free to do so. I will run the race with the horse in unless it puts too many outside of the handicap (I don't think this is likely). See how that goes.

 Re: Rich
Rich if you need help with the handicapping I could help out. I could help to manually edit the rating if need be. I might need some guidelines as to how the ratings are applied. I vaguely remember how EPL does his ratings where the maiden winners get 100 and we go down from that.
I think the initial 2 weeks need new ratings after that the game can handle it from there.

 Re: Rich
I will see how this week goes. The min/maj handicaps have worked before so we'll have to see how it works out here and find out what needs fixing.

 TOM
Hi Rich, Any chance TOM can be fixed this season so that the "VIEW TRAINER CHAMPS" button works for both UKRA and NHC? Right now it works, but it only gives the combined league stats. I know we had it working last season.
