 If you are seeing races like that in SO7 it is likely to be a course map without correct bend entry/exit waypoint markers added. There is potential for a horse to run wide depending on certain stats but not that wide.

Mainly posted as it was funny. :D

Not running any modded tracks, so no I don't see THAT wide. But I do see a lot of: "oh now that didn't go the way I thought!" races. Though if I'm riding I'd be more like the #4 horse figuring it out too late and trying to get there going "oh crap, oh crap".

I'll have to try the new patch to see if it helps with the odd results at times.

Though I like @boddersfish's take on it a bit too!

When a horse takes an unusually wide turn, it’s often because the course map lacks proper waypoint markers, especially for bend entry and exit. These markers help guide horses through the track in a more realistic manner. Without them, horses may veer off-track or takesnow rider 3d game for Christmas strange routes, especially if their "maneuverability" or similar stats aren't high.

So where is the manoeuvrability stat?

Seems to me they just go wide to get a clear run as if they are on the straight, when they should stay more toward the rail. Sucks but shit happens!
